As with many things in golf, the Ryder Cup is all about tradition. You don't screw with that for any reason. So no, nobody with a clue thinks the format should be changed.
As to the conditions, I love it. Golf as it was originally meant to be played. Yes, they could run into issues if the water overwhelms the squeegee crews, but until then, play on MacDuff, and damned to thee who first cries hold, enough!
Played Cruden Bay on the Northeast coast of Scotland in these exact conditions and loved every single minute of it.
And yes, it's a huge advantage to the Euros.
