Very impressed by Jeff Overton. He definitely has the "it" factor and will win a major in the next 5 years IMO. He kept it together very well, and its awesome to see guys like he and Bubba get so fired up and feed off each other.

I thought Phil looked like a corpse...very little emotion and he couldnt hit a big shot when they needed it.

Graham McDowell is a stud, and Steve Stricker better play in the next 5 ryder cups for us. He is way too good putting and driving.

i set my DVR last night for 4am until 11pm on USA Network (which was a bunch of Law & Orders). i get up a half hour ago and go to my list of recorded programs and nothing. i go to USA Network and now the time slot says "Golf" so my preset recordings were eliminated. result: i saw nothing. F U DirecTV. after watching every last second of coverage this happens to me. and Sunday (Monday) singles is my favorite part.

Great final day, well done Europe. Thought the fans were fine and well behaved, much ado about nothing to claim otherwise. And who cares if they delay putting up results which favor the US? It doesn't change them.

My DVR froze on the Fowler putt on 17, I ended up going back to the start of the program and scrolling forward, never did actually see the putt.

Too bad it ended more with a fail by Mahan - who did a nice job hanging in the match - than success by McDowell. I'd rather one guy win it than someone else lose it, which is essentially what happened.

Also, my favorite thing about a US win would have been exposing the terribad pick going with Paddy over Casey or Rose. It looked bad at the time and his play didn't make it look any better. Huge risk by Monty, which I kind of respect, but it didn't pay off. I wonder deep down who Rose and Casey were rooting for.

US was -5 in the third session and +4 in the other three. Just absolutely killed them.

15th hole, can't ever remember a hole so lopsided in one team's favor, for no particular reason. That hole and the third session were huge advantage EU, everything else to US.

Drivable par 4s are some of the best in golf imo. Risk and Reward holes.

Awesome excitement this afteroon. Top notch entertainment. WP Europe. Looked like it would be all over early but US came back huge, they really crush the singles (europe badly could have done with Casey and Rose, real joke that at least one didn't go.

The guy I feel the best for is Jimenez. Impressive to see him play so well and his old nerves hold up. I don't think Watson is any great shakes in this format or this week (plus his swing is painful to watch) but I would have picked him to win this one. Plus I think they said Jimenez has played in three other RC but they've all been in the US, so it's his first time playing a home game. And almost certainly his last.

It was kind of hard to watch Mahan's speech, but I came away with a ton of respect for him.

Awesome RC imo.

Mahan shouldn't beat himself up too badly, but media loves to single out someone as the reason for success or failure (e.g. Bill Buckner, when in fact the loss was hardly his fault, or at the very least there was plenty of blame to go around). It's Mahan's bad fortune that he was playing the 12th match and the way it fell their match was the focal point. Of course, he is probably less likely to hit bad shots on 14, 16, and two of them on 17 under different circumstances, but still. There should be a lot of teammates willing to take a bullet for him.

I don't think the way it played out that people will remember him nearly the way they remember Langer or Lehman.

You used the word 'epitome', which Shia Labeouf hilariously mispronounced in describing Michael Douglas as the 'epitome of strength', only he prounounced it something like 'epp-ih-toam'. Thought maybe you had seen that.

Congrats to the Europeans. I was stunned that RF made it close and certainly don't blame Mahan for losing. There's plenty of blame, if you want to place it, to go around. Most of it applies to yesterday's matches.

Still the best event in golf, and probably the best event in sports imo.
