Don't PM but reply in this thread so we can see which EURO wants to step up.

Your offer is bet $90 to win $50? I can bet $70 on betfair to win $50 so your line is way off.

what do you want to do? bet $50 on usa to win? Then find someone willing to pay you $93 if they win, and you pay them $50 if EURO wins, a tie is a push.

I used USA's win odds, you mite want to slightly adjust for betfair's juice.

lookie here. I found this on the betfair website.

What are Decimal Odds?

All prices quoted on Betfair are 'Decimal' Odds. Decimal Odds differ from the Odds traditionally quoted in the UK in that they include your stake as part of your total return. If you place a bet of £10 at Decimal Odds of 4.0 and win, then your total return (including stake) is £40. In the UK this would be quoted as 3/1, returning to you winnings of £30 plus your original stake of £10.

Decimal Odds are simpler to use than Traditional Odds, and are the most common form of Odds quoted in countries outside the UK. In addition, for the mathematically minded, Decimal Odds relate more closely to probability: in a race with four equally-matched horses, the probability of each horse winning is 25%. Each horse will have Traditional Odds of 3/1 or Decimal Odds of 4.0. Hence, the probability of an outcome equals 1 divided by its Decimal Odds (1 / 4.0 = 25%).

Decimal Odds also offer many more prices – Betfair offer every price between 1.01 and 2.0 to two decimal places. With no margins to protect, our customers deserve to see every price available.
Converting Decimal Odds to 'Traditional Odds'

Converting Decimal Odds to Traditional Odds: Decimal Odds minus 1.0 = Traditional Odds (x to 1). Eg 4.0 = 3/1, 1.80 = 4/5 (0.8 to 1)
Converting 'Traditional Odds' to Decimal Odds

Converting Traditional Odds to Decimal Odds: Traditional Odds (x to 1) plus 1.0 = Decimal Odds Eg 7/1 = 8.0, 1/2 = 1.50

I am shipping him 93 buckos tonight. If USA wins, nothing happens.

If Eur wins. He ships me 143 buckos after. Does this seem right?

Tie he ships me 93 bukcs. This way the money is inhis hands as like a proxy. Since no one in here thinks i am not a scammer.

haha that is pretty funny. Also, WOW, looks like A LOT OF FUN over there in the rain.

I never understood the appeal of the Ryder Cup. I have zero interest in "beating Europe." ZOMG WE SURE SHOWED THEM yay for dumb lines drawn on a map. And from a player's perspective, I would feel exploited that the PGA of Amurrrika makes like $20 mill, which is obviously a direct result of the skill of the players, and the players don't get any of it!

My understanding is the PGA of America is making $0.00 this weekend.

Each individual player gets to donate $200k total to two charities of their choice which is a pretty cool thing to be able to do.

Jshutt,

You might not be reading my post #44 correctly. I said the PGA of America is making nothing this weekend. My understanding is that when the Cup is held in Europe the European Tour makes all the profit and the PGA of America makes zip. The reverse holds true when the States host the Cup.

Am I incorrect here?

Who has more pressure on them this weekend... Tiger Woods or Padraig Harrington?

I think Tiger does. Tiger's season has been a total waste. To come up empty in the majors on courses where he has had success before was an utter failure. If he were able to win 3 points or more and help USA retain the Cup then 2010 would have a happy golf ending.

Thoughts?

What pressure is Harrington under?

Also think you're being waaaaaay to critical of Tiger when you take everything into consideration. The guy was spraying it everywhere and came T4th in the 1st 2 majors of the year.

You think I'm being waaay to critical of Tiger? Really? Really? Tiger doesn't give a **** about a T4 in a major.
