Match 3: Westwood/Kaymer over Furyk/Fowler. Again, this U.S. pairing just seems weird to me. Nothing against either player, but there are better partners for each.

Match 5: Poulter/Donald over Overton/Watson. This is a difficult format for fidgety guys who like to play fast. Not sure the Americans can carry it over from this morning.

Match 6: McDowell/McIlroy halve with Kuchar/Cink. Best match of the morning could be best of the second session, too.

That would be 3.5 to 2.5 for Europe, if you're scoring at home. Would square the overall match going into the third session, if it happens.

In this alternate shot thing, if the players like to play different kinds of ball (I mean brand, performance, whatever), how do they usually decide which ball they'll play? Does it make much difference?

There were more options to choose then an off form Harrington. Casey,Rose,Quiros,Davies or even Karlsson wore better options
