Old news, saw that issue a month ago. The cover has been discussed in the media many a time already.

That's essentially the same separation from the Equinox as this weekend. It wouldn't solve the daylight problem.

You're saying today had the same amount of daylight as 9/10?

Without actually knowing, I assume there is an agreed-upon logistics issue with all the volunteers, venue, networks, etc. that makes playing beyond Monday a gigantic nightmare and as such they agreed that no play would be permitted past that point, no doubt figuring that the odds of it being a possibility were nil. Particularly since there's no prize pool - I get the idea that these guy's aren't really excited about spending any more unpaid time in cold, wet, miserable Wales than they have to. Sort of like when the President's Cup called that tie (total AIDS) back in 2003. It would have been great to have everyone back the next day for some sort of tiebreaker but to actually execute such a plan would have screwed with a lot of people's schedules.

Too bad though, I like the idea of tournaments running way over. When the weather was terrible at Bethpage last year they were talking about a WEDNESDAY finish. Unfortunately they managed to get it done on Monday. If you're going to go over by a day, might as well go over by three, just make it as absurd as possible.

Whoever in the PGA of America gave the Pavin's the clothing credit card needs to be left in the middle of Wales.

This is probably a dumb idea, but if they are so concerned about finishing Sunday night, why not send the 4 players for each side who are not playing right now out to start the alternate shot session?

I mean, I know they may not have been scheduled/planned to play together, but why not just adjust and go with it?

Because then those two matches would be two hours behind the last match currently going on. And then those four players on both sides would then be stuck with each other for the next match since it would be senseless to wait two more hours for those matches to finish. In other words, it just hamstrings the captains even more than they already are.

The bright side is the first six words of your post are dead on balls accurate.

lol, Dustin Johnson pulls out the 3W on the 352 yard par 4 and they say it'd definitely plenty of club, possibly a little too much.

350 is measured out into the left fairway (i.e. layup zone) and then to hole. Straight to pin was like 250.

I knew it had to be something weird after Westwood drove it over the pin. Thanks.
