First, I'm no Tiger fan.

In context this is clearly a racist insult. Debate can occur about how bad it is, but it is racist. Charles Barkley could say he was going to kick Tiger's black a** in golf, but we all know that isn't the same.

Stevie crossed a line that he can't explain away. Funny thing is that his only out might be is that he and Tiger used to jab each other back and forth like that in private, but what are the chances of Tiger pulling Stevie out from under that bus.

Stevie goofed up here, and all Tiger needs to do is say nothing.

When Stevie was on Tiger's bag and saying stupid things he somehow had defenders/supporters.

This x 1,000,000. The guy is basically a human pack mule who walked in the shadow of the game's greatest player for a while. If you are a world class, top 10, pro golfer like Scott, do you really want to be pelted with questions about "what your caddy said". A tour caddie is supposed to make your job EASIER, not harder.

Stevie needs to get that he is there to help Scott. Stevie, this is not your show. You need to STFU and do your job. If I was Scott I would be ticked.

Having said that, Scott's comments about it were not great. I don't think he got good advice on how to respond to this. Scott could have said "I don't think the comments were appropriate, and I have expressed that to Stevie, and will leave it at that."

Instead here is what Scott says..

Whenever I hear about someone publicly making a racist comment like this I just think "holy crap how can someone be so stupid?" I mean thinking it is one thing but to say it in front of another person??? It never ceases to amaze me when you see that someone has absolutely no filtering mechanism in their brain.
