I imagine Williams never became good friends with Tiger outside of golf as Tiger likely regarded him as a peon. Dude should tell all imo.
Some people enjoy witnessing greatness.

Not everyone bases who they root for on what they do off the court/course.

RE: a tell all book.

For one, it's not that unlikely that Stevie has had a little bit of ass on the side. If that's the case he obviously won't be writing a book.

Even if he has been faithful to his wife, I doubt he's petty enough to do something like that (even if he has reason to be).

If he ends up going on a huge coke bender and blows through his millions, then I could see him doing it. Unless that happens I wouldn't hold your breath.

He doesn't need to, but at this stage it's in his best interest. Some would say trying to connect with fans is part of his job, but that's debatable.

Regardless, tipping the appropriate people for services rendered is part of life. Tiger is notoriously poor at doing so. He should be ripped for that, just like you or I would be. Would you stiff a valet assuming the service was reasonable?

Why is it in his best interest? So people will write more favorable articles about him?

The last thing 2p2 needs is another tipping thread, but yes, I would "stiff" a valet regardless of the quality of service he/she provides.

Businesses with valet attendants have decided to pass the buck onto us instead of paying their staff a fair wage. I'm not buying into their system of fattening their own pockets at my expense.

So you screw the valet worker and not the owner in your world? That sucks. FFS people.....tip valets and 20% on meals. If you don't want to tip a valet don't use the valet

If it had over 20 pages of golf mental discussion I would snap pay $10k, maybe more. If it was just a tmz style book maybe a dime as I think it would have some crazy **** but I am not a gossip guy.....except when it comes to Tiger.

Clarification to the above

Tilghman reported that Williams will write a book chronicling his career when he's done. There'll, of course, be a Tiger Woods chapter.

I agree his image is awful but Tiger is one of the greatest athletes of all time. I don't root for him but I would like to see him play again with whichever caddy he wishes to employ.

First, I would never use a valet unless it isn't optional. If forced to use one, I would not tip them. Second, it is not I who is "screwing" them by not tipping, it is their employer who has decided their paycheck depends on people feeling guilty enough to tip. If they don't like it, go get a job where they get paid fair compensation by their employer. Lol at blaming the non-tippers and not the business owners who set this sham up in the first place.

You've got it all wrong my friend. The reason they are paid a lower wage is because valet is one of the jobs our society regularly tips for service. If an employer decided to pay a "regular" wage then valets would be making more money than they probably should.

It's not like one day a bunch of hotel owners or whatever got together and were like "We need a way to cut costs....let's start paying valets below minimum wage and therefore customers will be forced to tip to cover their wages that we take away!!". No. Our society just has some jobs that we naturally have decided to tip and a lot we have not. The ones we do, employers naturally pay a less wage.

So if you are looking for someone to blame for this "problem", blame all of society I guess. But realize that you are in the large minority for not tipping valet (and others that should be tipped too?).

You do realize that if you were to let the employer pay them a higher salary, the burden of that would still be on you (or the end user) right?

You do realize how compensation based on tips actually improves the qaulity of service you as a customer will get when dealing with the service industry, right?

I wish 100% of the service industry worked on tips.

I edited it because golf isn't politics.

But it is still a reasonable assumption that he would (or should based on that statement) lean more towards a socialistic society as apposed to a free market.

100% Agree

Same as, if you aren't going to tip well, then get carry-out.

I have friends who share a meal everytime they go out to eat yet they still only tip as if they are only 1 person eating. It tilts me

I was a server for 5 years and this doesnt bother me, and it didn't when I was serving.

I mean if you come in by yourself are you supposed to tip like there are 2, 3, 4 people? I dont expect anyone eating by themselves to get a $10 tab then assume, "well if there were 3 of us it would be $30 so Im going to tip $6." People eating by themselves tend to eat quicker so the table will get resat quicker. So the $/hr compared to 2 or 3 people sitting there chatting it up isnt too horribly different.

The thing that bothered me is when people would go to restraunts spend $20 and sit there for 4 hours watching a sporting event then leave a $4 or $5 tip. Luckily I never worked at a sports bar (cause I dont have boobs) but that has always bothered me when I see people do that.

I was pretty sure that Tiger fired Fluff after an event in which he took the yardage book away from him and figured it all out himself after being given a bad number.

And jesus, yes, "righting" is an atrocious mistake, I'll agree.. Do I get a one time pass since I literally had woken up 4 minutes before the post?

That you realized the mistake on your own and are contrite about it is sufficient.

I agree to an extent, but when the people are constantly wanting refills, extra butter, extra sauce and want their entree served on two separate plates -- that's enough trouble to merit tipping for two people imo.

Anyways, sry for the side-track.

I don't think Stevie's or Elin's tell-all would be as much as most people think. Sure, Stevie saw Tiger with some girls I suspect, but I would suspect he knows less than 10% of Tiger's affairs. Elin obviously knew even less. All she could tell us is how much Tiger cried when she cracked his skull, which wouldn't fill a book.
