i agree totally........ of course people might also complain that 7:30 am and 10 am aren't the exact same conditions. but there reaches a point where people just have to play.
having caddied in the canadian tour the last few years, i sure notice the difference in am and pm scores/conditions. every year there has been a good flight and a bad flight. probably 3 strokes difference or something like that.
i also wonder if players would have a preference for thursday or friday early vs. late (independent of conditions). i would think you want the chance to start out with low score.
lastly, interesting discussion as i think the Beth Page tourney (where Lucas Glover won) was extreme differences in flights.
