Good luck Mr. Weaver. Can't wait to hear all about your week. Enjoy it, have a good time, and play your game.

Nice man, best of luck to you. Looking forward to following you throughout the tournament and can't wait to hear some of your thoughts after its over.

Who is going to caddy for you?

Do you get to play in the Par 3?

I will have a club caddy on the bag. I will be playing the Par 3.

To all, thank you for the support leading into the tournament. I won't be posting during the event or while I am back there, but when I get back I will catch up on your questions and all that. Thanks guys, I'll probably see some of you there.

Not that what I say matters for anything, but I definitely like the idea of having someone on the bag with local knowledge, especially at that course. As always, thanks again for being great about this thread and sharing everything, stuff like this is invaluable.

Good luck, and take it down!

two nice pieces on michael..... and it was fun that i found michael's sf chronice coverage just by opening a physical copy i'd just bought.

not sure how the subscriber wall works. if the sf article doesn't show in its entirety, i can cliff notes it.

As the USGA Rules of Golf state:

"An amateur golfer must not accept a prize (other than a symbolic prize) or prize voucher of retail value in excess of $750 or the equivalent, or such a lesser figure as may be decided by the Governing Body."

Idk what happens to the extra prize money...

I thought about this last year: say an amateur wins, could he just instantly declare himself a pro and collect the money? could never go back to school obv
