+12 and +15 and in last 2 places after round 1....

deer in headlights? caribbean golf = complete opposite of PNW (windy vs. wet and hilly)?

it's hard to understand.. these guys played high level NCAA golf or equivalent (i.e. competitive on high level tour at same age)

Yeah - solid guest and hope he has a good season on the web

It really was a solid squad they had at Cal with Homa, Hagy, Michael Kim and Weaver.

Also didn't realize he beat Zac Blair (on/off PGA Tour), Patrick Rodgers (on PGA now), Albin Choi (on Web now - who beat Thomas Pieters who beat Jordan Spieth (I followed that match)), and Justin Thomas in his match-play run. Dude.

ok, i'm back from social media "self exile".....

had been a big pause in web.com schedule until today.

anyway, MW with a nice day one in mexico (web.com). minus 3 so far. i forgot to check how far through he is......... leaders minus 7 or so.

MW from my observation has been slow starter. often very very strong down the stretch. so this is a really good sign.

I think mostly the latter; he was in the clubhouse and T-79 when I looked, and I think the cut was even.

i think they either just count the top x scores relative to par as cut-line. or they have some really simple algorithm to project it. either way, early to mid on friday the number they show is not very sharp.

the teaching pro at my driving range missed making the pga tour from qualifying school by one stroke partially because he finished fairly early on final day, estimate that he needed birdie to qualify. he bogeyed and it turned out he didn't need birdie. must be fairly common type story.

tied 20th or so heading out for round 2 at northern mississippi event on web.com....... nice first round

my 2 local players have rallied too........ all 3 players did very poorly starting out on web.com and i've noticed that with other locals before. a few decent explanations for it. but it certainly seems to be a factor on this tour.

Stads Monday qualified for the Bay Area web.com event this week. Article said he finished T6 here in 2017 which is his best web result yet. LFG

first round with 5 birdies, 2 bogeys and 2 doubles. 3 birdies and a bogey in the second round but just couldn't get there.

leader had 15 birdies and 1 bogey over the first two rounds for a pair of 63s.

Michael is T-7 stage 2 qualifying after 2 rounds in Texas.... i think he's 3 strokes inside the number right now i.e. 4 strokes ahead of non-qualifiers

i think some 2p2ers have done qualification at Craig Ranch, as have some players i've caddied for.

qualifying is so harsh. i see a guy who shot 64 back to back in stage 1 near the bottom in stage 2.

koepka's brother made it too....

a guy i know from canadian tour shot 78 to miss. so disappointing i would think.

what does making stage 3 get him? preferential monday qualifying entry?... technically, does this make him korn ferry member? (i'm asking technically i.e. golf resume...... they don't get any auto starts or anything)

can imagine how stressful it is for family members, friends and sponsors to check the scores. i didn't see michael near the top at first and it hit me pretty hard. can imagine 1000x that reaction is terrible
