If you missed it, Stads tees off at 2:15 today. Hopefully will get some time on Golf channel. Early on Friday at 9:15. I'm going to head over Friday and will post updates.
Tough day for our guy. Really enjoy watching him and was nice to meet him and spend time with his family. Good people. He just couldn't get it all working at the same time. If he was a little loose with the driver (front 9) he hit some pretty good 2nds. Drove the ball better on the back but missed on some 2nds. Started to get on a birdie train but had a weird moment on 10 tee.
The course was set up so that basically anywhere a cart path was you could walk. The problem was there was no traffic control. So coming off 9 with a little pep in his step, Mike gets ready to tee off. Waggles a couple times, looks up to see a 13-15 year old in a bright orange shirt walking on the cart path directly in the line of fire. Kid just strolling along taking his time. After couple of minutes of players, caddies, shot-tracker personal, and spectators trying to get his attention he clears none the wiser. Stads resets and calmly pipes one right down the middle. Pretty cool to see him regroup and execute.
Some good shot that come to mind
-Second shot on 2.
-Second on 4.
-Third on 7. Things were kinda going south at this point. A lot of bad things have happened up till now and to top it off we just left our 2nd in the same bunker. To me, this is a defining moment. Some might say F&&& it and implode. Our guy however fights the demons down and regroups and hits one to mid-range to give himself a chance to make par. He didn't but he will.
At this point I realize I'm bad luck and go to the range to see whats up there. He obviously birdies 8 and 9.
-Pounded drives on 11, 13, and 14.
-Good drive on 17 also.
I think I've rambled enough. This is probably TLDR but **** it I only post once a month.
Stads, forgot to ask, What's next?
Forgot to add my beat. Got **** on by a bird. Thats exactly what this Detroit fan need is for Cleveland to **** on me some more.

Thanks again for coming out. Not sure what's next at this point. Probably try to Monday qualify in to some.
Hi Stadler, I would be really interested in reading if you started a blog. Please start one if you think you would have the time. It might be really beneficial to you as well.
His first stage was actually in Beaumont where he shot -8 to advance by 4 shots. (another player there shot 80 the first day yet still qualified shooting lights out after that)
