Official Michael Weaver (stadler) Appreciation & Sweat Thread

This guy is a regular 2+2 poster. He also is in the FREAKING FINALS OF THE U.S. Amateur!

The finals are tomorrow at 7:30am Colorado time. It's 36 holes and will be broadcast with delay on NBC later in the day. His opponent is Steven Fox, about whom I know nothing.

For those who don't know, regardless of the result, stadler is in the Masters next year.

Since it appears Mr. Weaver is a legitimately elite golfer, I figure this thread could be around for, oh, 30 years. We can sweat not only this tourney but next year's Masters and beyond.

A lot of us have been sweating this in the other thread with Stads winning his matches. Personally, I think it's bad luck to start a new thread just for the finals especially since all the other posts are in the other thread. Even though I'm not really superstitious, I'd like to request this thread be deleted immediately.

Look, I'm rooting for stads just as much as anyone, but when a player is winning you don't break routine. You eat at the same restaurant every night and so on just like Roger Chapman at this years Senior PGA. We've already got a thread with a ton of posts about this that's been working great without all the tripe posted in most threads. You don't make a new thread and change the routine just for the final match.

It's a tournament thing and it's silly, but you stick with what's working.

US Open is a lock, Masters is a "lock" based on historical precedent of inviting both finalists, The Open traditionally invites only the winner. Based on what I have read.

If BO wasn't busy being a tard he could weigh in and confirm/deny.
