It has. 1899, but still.

Thanks yeah it's a great place. I think they could host any USGA event like this weekend, other than the U.S. Open. Could handle an Open IMO but needs a bit of time to pinch in fairways, add a few tees, etc

Played a phenomenal course in the Greater Toronto area today called Heron's Point. It's another clublink track, designed by Tom McBroom. The course was an absolute beast with a 141 slope rating at 6400 (blues). I found it very playable, with generous fairways but somewhat difficult green complexes. I think I'd spend a significant amount of time at this track if I were a clublink member.

Not a fan of it taking 4 mins to figure out which leaf your ball is under when you drove it in the middle of the fairway.

sounds like ****ty groundskeeping by the local course. the group i play with uses a 'leaf rule' in autumn to cover such situations. if you can't find it because leaves cover the fairway (or first cut of rough), take a free drop. this is also the same group that plays all hazards as a lateral with penalty instead of going back to the previous place to replay the shot.

during the non-posting season (i.e. super wet winter) you can also rake your lie in the bunker if the groundskeepers didn't do it for you that morning so you don't have a concrete sand lie.

Seeing as how an unlimited M-F with cart season pass cost me $400 I give my course a pass on ****ty groundskeeping
