Not legend. They disliked each other and both had to be coerced to even do this one and only scene together.
There was significant friction on the set from start to finish. Ted Knight was not a favorite because he wouldn’t do coke while everyone else was. Cindy Morgan didn’t want to do the love scene with Chevy. Nobody would follow the script. It was a mess.

Legend has it that Chevy chase and bill Murray didn’t want to do this scene because neither wanted to share the spotlight.
The more I hear about Chevy Chase the more he seems like a huge prick. I saw a clip from a Johnny Carson episode where Richard Pryor and Chevy are on. They clearly couldn’t stand one another.
