I like the team concept as well, but these names they came up with need to be made fun of relentlessly.

Team concept might have potential but not the way Liv is doing it. They could literally have me on 4 Aces instead of Pat Perez, and it would change nothing. Why not count all scores? Imagine if the Ryder Cup could just ignore half of the players' scores.

Also the way the teams are organized is a joke. A couple of stacked teams and then a bunch of no-name scrubs on the other teams. What happened to the weekly draft? Or at least a one-time draft to have some semblance of parity? How did Reed DJ and Gooch even get on the same team? They just decided? Probably the 3 best Liv players. Perez must've done something right in a previous life.

Serious question: How much money did Caitlyn Jenner get paid to show up at this weekend's LIV event ?

Honestly Liv is getting a lot of publicity but none of it is about the golf. It's all the behind the scenes stuff... who are they signing next, how much money are they getting, etc.

As for the golf itself, at least so far, almost no one cares because it all feels like an exhibition. Who won last week? Are they playing this week? Next week? Who knows? Who cares?

It was literally on every sports website and ticker Sunday/Monday. If you didn't know who won you don't visit any sport websites or watch any highlight shows.

Cool? Then you don't follow sports or professional golf. I received 4 alerts from different sports apps/websites, saw it on the golf channel ticker and read it all over golf Twitter.

I play and watch lots of golf. I know Schwartzel won the first one but no clue after that. No interest from me at this point. Maybe if they get owgr points ill tune in.

The Golf Channel app never has any scores from LIV, they do have news regarding defectors however. But never any results. ESPN does usually have a story about the event. Once a day I do check the LIV website just to see which slut and slut team is winning.

And if I wanted, I could rattle off various tournaments and tours and relevant historical results that you've never heard of before trying to make you feel as though you know nothing about golf. And I'm good at it. Don't tempt me.

They have SO MUCH sponsored content, I couldnt help but find out. I could care less, but I know....

I watch a ton of sports on TV and did not see a single highlight from the Liv event. The only footage I saw was of Trump, Let's Go Brandon, etc. Not a single highlight of Henrik or anyone else playing golf.

Which follows what I've been saying... Liv is doing a pretty good job of keeping itself in the news despite no one caring at all about the actual golf. At some point though, there has to be a reason for golf fans to actually want to watch them play golf. It can't all be about, "hey did you hear Pat Perez made a million for finishing in 38th place? Isn't that something?"

Maybe if they sign actual top young players, and do away with the shotgun start, and get a TV deal... right now it's just an exhibition among mainly older pros, that no one cares about.

i don't know who won LIV, and i watched around eight hours of golf programming this past weekend, and probably a fifth of my IG feed is golf related.
i can tell you who won the Rocket and i didn't watch a second of it.
i can also tell you who won the Women's Scottish at Dundonald, the US Jr Am at Bandon (not Brandon), and the Sr Open Championship at Gleneagles (yes that was two weeks ago, but there wasn't a Champions event this past weekend)
