i can tell you who won the Rocket and i didn't watch a second of it.
i can also tell you who won the Women's Scottish at Dundonald, the US Jr Am at Bandon (not Brandon), and the Sr Open Championship at Gleneagles (yes that was two weeks ago, but there wasn't a Champions event this past weekend)
I was more out of touch than usual but didn't even know there was a LIV golf event this weekend, let alone who won.

Watched about two or three hours of the women on Sunday morning. Also knew who won there, Rocket Mortgage, Jr Am and Sr Open without watching anything else.

How you doing fellow obvious liars?

Norman and Bryson were both interviewed on Tucker Carlson's show this week I see.

It's actually smart marketing by Liv to target the MAGA fan base. MAGAs are naturally contrarian and will actively support anything that seems anti-PC. So all the pushback Liv is getting regarding Saudi human rights abuses, brutality, etc. is just another reason for the contrarians to be drawn to it.

I think the take that sums up my interest the most is DJ from NLU.

Basically, it's like if Ian Poulter got paid $50M to go be a consultant for the Saudi Investment Fund. Like... Cool, you go do you and collect the money... But I'm not gonna watch you do your job.

Like the massive sums of money are only interesting when it's actually life changing for the person receiving it. It's why some dude like Nate Lashley rising up and winning out of nowhere is a way cooler story for the Rocket Mortgage than Tony Finau winning. At a certain point, the money just doesn't matter to the fan at all because it doesn't really matter to the players.

It's why the WSOP Main Event Final Table is more interesting than the Triton Poker tournaments that also pay out like $8M for first.

Antitrust lawsuit just dropped. Here's a link to the complaint. Those are some juggernaut law firms for the players/plaintiffs:

What I am curious about all these contracts how are they spread out?

Its not like you giving a guy 50 million right up front. Is it spread over 5 years?

If LIV is giving a guy like Patrick Reed 50 million up front based on his ranking and future I think he is a fool if he turns it down

It all boils down to how much is enough and your own personal morals. Anecdotally I was at a nerd convention (for auditors) and there was a booth, as I walked by they asked "How would you like to work in Saudi Arabia?"

Lol. Mickleson was suspended in April. All that nonsense about taking time off for personal reasons after his comments were bullshit.

Such a clown.

Next we'll find out that DJ didn't really hurt himself with a jet ski after all. There is no telling how deep this rabbit hole goes. I might start my own version of the qanon movement. It will end with us storming tour HQ in Ponte Vedra.

I guess all the people mad in this thread can enjoy the Wyndham Championship this week, the same company that has hotels in Saudi Arabia

the fund backing LIV is controlled by the same person who had a human being butchered like a side of beef because they were reporting the truth and he didn't want to hear it.

the company backing Wyndham takes their Ramada hotel franchise to SA because it's one letter short of Ramadan and they think there might be interest.

same thing

I heard 3 year contracts from a Tour players lips. But not sure if that is everyone or just the one he divulged to me

I wonder if the principle of "dumping" will apply to LIV? It is anti-competitive for a business to sell products at below cost to try to damage its rivals in the market. LIV are clearly running a non-viable business.

Isnt that the standard operating procedure for players that were suspended in the past? PGA always seemed hush hush on it

I'm no attorney but I think dumping has more to do with established companies giving away physical products (e.g. steel). If it was illegal for new companies to do things that were non-viable there wouldn't be a Silicon Valley.

i'm hoping this part of the court document has legs

Ridley and the ANGC membership still have the opportunity to do the right thing and ban the LIVtards from the Masters for life. no court could stop them from doing so

DJ appears to be missing from the list of plaintiffs on the lawsuit? Maybe he's just accepted his fate as one of the earliest defectors and will piggyback on the lawsuit if it goes in their favour.

He resigned his tour membership so joining the suit can’t help him.
