Definitely has game and is now making putts. Although it's the best heater since Tiger, as golfers we should all know it's a cruel game and eventually the hot streak will end.

It is weird looking back Tiger had periods of bad play because he was going through a swing change or injuries because he trained so hard. I doubt either of those things happen to Scottie.

Judging by his personality and beliefs I doubt it stops at 1. I'd guess he wants to have a big family.

Not necessarily as long as he isn't Mormon or Catholic.

I'm just basing this off the comments I've seen him make and it's a total assumption, everybody's different and who the hell really knows. But I'd compare him to Webb Simpson if not more religious and he has 5 kids.

I live close to the course for this weeks Veritex tournament, and talked the wife into hosting a golfer and caddie in our home. He is playing the pro-am right now, and has a PM tee time tomorrow then AM Friday. Charles Porter, nice guy. Gives me someone to follow the next two days. And they give free tickets for the tournament for hosting, so that's a bonus

Scheffler it too hot, too good ... amazing. I don't think he will have longevity at all. He gave an interview the other day that sounded ominous almost in that regard, almost like Payne Stewart saying "I don't know how much longer I have." I just think something is gonna derail an astounding career by Scottie. Would love to see him win some more Masters and other majors, but I think it's going to be more like Duval. He's on a UConn like run where everything is perfect for too long.

Will his idiosyncratic footwork lead to difficulties when he gets a bit older and his co-ordination isn't as good? His short game does seem to get him out of most difficulties right now and I suppose that might continue.

update on the 15-yr-old, Miles Russell. i reported his 1st round score off by a stroke

he finished T-20, -14 (68-66-70-66). he made bogey on his 72nd hole and didn't think that would be good enough to finish T-25 (or better) to auto-qualify for this week's Korn Ferry event in Texas. by the time he arrived back home in Jax, tho, he realized he indeed had qualified

he tees off in 6 hrs

he recently broke Tiger's record for youngest AJGA POY

here are his stock yardages:

I walked past Miles near the putting green, told him to "Keep rocking and rolling" and he thanked me.
