Tommy Fleetwood is never going to win on the PGA tour, or anywhere else for that matter.
To put it mildly, he's not a big time competitor.

It’s going to hard for Harman to blow that lead tomorrow but I suspect he will.

I'd love nothing more than for him to eject from the tournament, but I don't think that is going to happen.

Forgot this was on - no surprises on a short course that Day would be up there

Wishful thinking. Zero drama.

Good on Harman. Been a solid player for a while, and earned a big win.

Every time a bit of a crack showed he just poured in big putt after big putt. Solid off the tee. Minimal mistakes. Putted like a god.

Didn't mind the course, bunkers were very penal which I liked. If Harman hadn't had the week he had, the ending would have been very exciting.

Harman was the only guy to shoot under par four straight days. Straka and Rory also never shot over par.

I do miss the old major schedule however. Having the Players in May, and the PGA in August made the season feel longer, and then the Fedex in September. It feels so long to wait until Augusta now.

heard on the broadcast his Friday bogey free 65 was over 8 strokes better than the field. Rahm's bogey free 63 yesterday was only 7 strokes better.
there just weren't any holes in his game
shortish but straight off the tee, missed most all the bunkers, scrambled like hell, and that bogey on 13 was his first missed put inside three paces all week.

Harmon SG stats all four rounds
Spoiler:

here's Kim
(bummer about the ankle)

Sepp

Day

Rahm

Rory

Fleetwood

started watching at 3am yesterday and 4am this morning, happy to say i saw a loooot of golf.
thought it was a fun course, bunkers as they should be for links, tight OB on some sides but plenty of room to bail towards other, new 17 a bit gimmicky but short, aka don't play your bitching wedge next time.

have to admit long parts of today were like watching the broadcast through shower glass, but it was exactly the sort of weather you hoped to see at least once.

the story about club pro Matthew Jordan being first off on Thursday then finishing t10 and headed to Troon makes me swoon.

Rahm
Koepka
Wyndham
Harman

and why does Scottie spell his name like some sort of terrier without digging in and proving it on the links?
more like the shuffling terror of terroir if you ask me

The announcers said it was the right play. Man, as he was standing over the ball it seemed like a really bad decision.

Pos. Pct. 1st 2 Tied 3 Tied 4 Tied
1 18% $1,404,000.00
2 10.90% $850,200.00 $694,200.00 $590,200.00 $522,600.00

Formatics suck, but solo 2nd was $850,200.00. T 3rd was $590,200.00. Dude cost himself over a quarter of a million dollars.

The annoncers are idiots. Saying Poston has to go for it and try and make eagle. Meanwhile Hodges is 114 yards out in the fairway laying 2. On a PAR 5! Do you really think Hodges is going to bogey from there?

His caddie is an idiot as well. The ball was so far before his feet, so yeah dude, hit a miracle shot and hope your opponent hits the 3M sign in the water like you ended up doing. Would love to see the analytics on the probability of him winning at that moment. They both got what they deserved.

The caddie cost himself $25,000 as well. How he doesn't insist the player does not go for it and protect second place $$$ so stupid

You guys are missing a couple of things regarding Poston on 18.

Yes, going for it was a very high risk play, no question there. But here’s the thought process. Try to win first, once that isn’t possible you take the drop in the fairway hitting 4. Easy layup, easy wedge to an easy pin, and at worst 2 putt for 7 and solo 2nd. This is how it plays out 95%+ of the time.

To those saying no way Hodges makes bogey from where he was in 2, that’s exactly what Poston did flipping wedge from the fairway.

Poston tried a <1% chance to win knowing he almost never makes worse than 7 regardless. Unfortunately he hit a horrible wedge, then a horrible play from just off the green, then a horrible putt. Missing those shots in that fashion is probably 5%, 10%, 40%. That seems to be a 1 in 500 chance. There’s other ways to screw it up but you get the point on the odds of him making worse than 7.
