The shot was cool for sure, and with the Nike swoosh hanging there made it more memorable. But the difficulty level of that shot was not outrageous.

Off the top of my head I'd say his most impossible shot was the 3-iron from the fairway bunker at the PGA.
This is the shot I always think about. If we're talking about the same shot, it was on 18 at Hazeltine in 2002. I've stood in that bunker and can never believe it.

That attempt was crazy on a few different levels. One the worst feelings in golf is you are looking for where the ball went and then you realize it didn't move. I can't tell if he double hit it, but even if he did it wouldn't be a penalty under the new rules.

He has good flexibility though.

I had him in 2 of my 5. Luckily, those were bad lineups. Got 5/6 in my best.

Howell, Rafa CB, Matsuyama, Horschel, Poulter, and stupid Si Woo Kim.

Euro setup yields a Euro winner.

I now know why Tiger took a pass on this event. That is some serious rough.

I've played Bay Hill in the middle of the rainy season when it gets a lot thicker than in March. This was several years ago and they had just redone the greens and they had some problems so the green were hard as pool tables. If I hit it in the rough I would hit a full wedge and then hope I could get the next one on the green and 2 putt. It was not easy....

PGA Tour live is good. $50 a year? Sure.

Love this course.

I tossed down 10 bucks on Matt Wallace at 100-1. Guy has been playing well, one of the most consistent players in the world in recent months.

Already looking like a fun leaderboard, DJ, JT, Rahm, Rory, Sergio, Fleetwood, all off to fast starts.

phil and amy mickelson roped into this college recruiting scandal. apparently they were the featured "letter of appreciation" for singer, the ringleader.

but phil claims, i guess correctly, that singer had many people that subscribed for basic advice on college placement.

i can't see phil's kids not being great students and very well-rounded.

that all sounds so gushing for phil....... but i certainly winced and laughed when i saw the headline

The whole concept of "navigating college admissions" seems odd to me. Take entrance exams, pick a school, apply, interview. What's to navigate?

In my day they were called "advisors."

If you got the $ you don't mix with the common folk.

Amazes me there is no separate thread on this scandal anywhere

Furyk's 43rd career round hitting all the fairways.

Since 1992, Furyk leads the PGA Tour in bogey-free rounds with 215. Can anyone name one of the two golfers tied at 154 rounds?
