looked everywhere last night trying to get Shelton and Ventura to lead after R1 and to win and couldn't find anything. They were priced so low on DK I was hoping to get 150/200-1 ofc Shelton goes out there and dominates R1.

surprised Wolff isn't playing any of the first 3 events. The field for the Vegas tourney isn't listed so not sure about the 4th.

Does anybody know why Reed received this honor from the European Tour?

Quote:
On the European Tour, the KLM Open serves as one final primer before the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth begins September 19. Patrick Reed is among the contingent teeing it up in both events – the winner of last month’s Northern Trust was named an honorary lifetime member of the European Tour earlier this year. Reed is one of just four Americans to ever receive that honor, along with Tom Watson, Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer.

It's weird. It's apparently due to his Master's win. But then where's Spieths etc? Molinari got it last year for Open so maybe it's a new initiative to give them to major winners rather than just outright legends and they aren't going retrospective? Not sure.

Weird is right. Euro Tour has a good thing going. The more proactive and experimental tour, host tournies in great venues/countries, etc. They just need to continue to do what they do.

Las Vegas field starting to load up. Brooks Koepka entered, Chase Koepka also got in so guessing that was part of the agreement for Brooks to show up. Wolff, Phil, Cantlay, DeChambeau, should be a fun week.

Can a mod just change the title of the thread for the current season? We don't need a new thread, unless someone wants to make a good OP.

I thought Phil was kinda off the record banned from this event

I remember the last time I was there for this event. Few guys missed their tee times due to the rain and Phil got drunk and missed his tee time (alleged)

Wouldn't be surprised if many players have missed tee times at the Vegas event due to getting drunk.

Or due to finishing lower than Romo.

Tony Romo shooting 2-under is pretty awesome.

few Euros making the trip over, figured they'd stay and play in spain next week. A lot of last minute entries, the guy I was going out to watch fell to 7th alternate. He will have to Monday Qualify in a field of 110 or so players for 4 spots. Super tough Monday Qualifer field too. Sucks. This new schedule and the smaller field sizes are keeping a lot of the Korn Ferry 50 guys on the sidelines.

JT playing the Road Hole right now on GC.

Korean golfer Bio Kim gets 3-year ban for making obscene gesture to fans

Quote:
The Korean Tour has suspended current money leader Bio Kim for three years after he made an obscene gesture to fans during the final round of a tournament this past weekend.

Holding a one-shot lead on the 16th hole of the DGB Financial Group Volvik Daegu Gyeongbuk Open in Gumi, South Korea, Kim reacted angrily after a cellphone camera went off during his downswing. His drive ended up going about 100 yards, according to the Korea Herald.

After the poor shot, Kim, 29, turned to the crowd, flipped off fans and slammed his driver into the ground. The incident was captured on live TV in Korea.

I don't know why they are even punishing him Jesus you'd be furious. 3 years is more than for doping wtf.

It would be hard for me to say this because I'm not familiar with Korean culture and mores.

I would vote to acquit if he'd charged into the gallery and given the offending party a stone cold stunner

Edit: Not Korean ldo

how far out was Cameron Champ when he hit that 8-iron on 18th?

announcers seemed shocked so it must have been a very long way. although it's semi-sea level and not that hot in napa this time of year
10-02-2019 , 01:49 AM
I think it was like 197. That's nuts for an 8 iron in CA, no wonder it came up short.

The 3 year ban for the Korean guy is insane. If those rules were applied to Sergio he'd never play golf again. Now that I think about it Kuchar deserves a lifetime ban for his bunker nonsense. Give one to Bryson too for just being an all around douche.

vegas was pretty fun... we posted up all day behind the driveable par 4 15th hole thursday/friday. going to houston next week. the field is so bad and tickets are $44 compared to the $33 at Vegas. Those $8 12 ounce beers added up fast too. A featured group in Houston is Herman, Points, Vegas.

yeah the shriners tourney is always fun and TPC Summerlin is setup to be a pretty good place for spectators. but I think the whole setup behind 15 has turned into a total clownshow. the viewing deck behind the hole they installed there a few years back + the crowds have made it almost unwatchable on weekends at least.

on a side note that 15th hole is one of the most bizarre hole layouts I've ever seen. it's like they ran out of room and decided to cram a hole in this little corner of the property.

there were only about 10-15 of us the entire time both days besides when Phil's group came through. It was great.

Not a fan of the Houston Open. Will be at a different course next year though.
10-12-2019 , 04:53 PM
Yeah let’s hope so because this is not much fun to watch. Italian open so much better this week
10-21-2019 , 01:03 AM
Not sure where to put this, but this skins game is kinda fun. Weird time to have it, but definitely more interesting than Tiger vs Phil from last year.
