Making it a lifetime exemption and not 10 years is dumb. They're lucky they've got so many multiple champions.
Do you really want to the likes of Reed and Willett still playing in 20 years?

Edit - Alternatively, keep the lifetime exemption provided you don't miss 5 cuts in a row.

This can’t be a real post

Mize, Lyle and Woosnam should retire gracefully.
From 2000, Craig Stadler played 15 times and missed the cut 11 times, including his final 7 attempts.

Play the par 3, have your champion's dinner (that's all Stadler was there for), sign some autographs.
Do you mean that the guy who just shot the same score as BDC and Rory today isn't worthy of having another knock at Augusta in his later years?

Rosey played the last 12 holes in 9-under which is pretty ridiculous.

Cantlay was terrible, Bryson not much better. Rory still struggling. Ho-hum leaderboard at the moment tbh but if Rose shoots a 75 tomorrow things may get a lot more interesting.

yeah, just went back and watched the Rose round starting at the 7th (bogey).
yes he ran hot on a couple of putts on holes after that, but if not for a bad kick on his approach on 7 he might be one stroke better. the three putt was still poor form.

DJ

Niemann
Cam Smith
Zalatoris
Speef (lol at him being in tier 6)
I have three entries in this same pool:

Matsuyama
Spieth
Lowry
Champ
Morikawa
Finau
--------------
Spieth
Si Woo Kim
Woodland
JT
Scheffler
Koepka
--------------
Conners
Adam Scott
Cameron Smith
DJ
Francesco Molinari
Rory

Do the tee boxes get moved around every day at Augusta or is it just the hole placements?

Weisberger was 9 shots behind Rose to start the day, now after 11 holes he's one off the lead. Pretty wild.

Why is it customary for all people to remove their hats at the end of the round when exchanging pleasantries with the other players/caddies?

That's not really golf-specific but more of a 'general society thing' which was more obvious back when men would wear hats more commonly.

You'd remove your hat to show respect for someone - ranging from a typical 'tip of the hat' to greet someone to full removal of the hat when the situation warranted.

I believe it traditionally stems back to warriors who would wear helmets and would remove them as a sign of friendship and trust.

Tee boxes get moved after every round of any professional event.

Because golf is a game played by gentlemen. I take my sunglasses off as well.

Dammit Barnyard, you wrecked my bragging rights for the weekend.

Oh Rors

Time for the obligatory Rlolry.

edit: btw Si Woo Kim is playing the last 4 holes without a putter.

What a tournament. So many fun things going on.

Mental midget El Nino plays the last four holes +2 to miss the cut by a stroke.

They must have powered him off and then powered him back on last night.

Still better than when the guys I play with go into the woods to take a leak at 16th and then (using the same hand they shook with then) insist on shaking my hand after the round.

Praying covid puts an end to the whole hand-shaking business.

Olazabal made the cut

Rory, DJ and Cantlay all missed.

I'd imagine you could have gotten long odds on that on Wednesday.

I played a round recently with two guys riding a cart together who took a leak several times apiece on the course. It was a bit much considering there was in fact a decent bathroom on both the front and back nine, and the course is a fairly open one.
