Who did that? I can't remember. Seeing the pros hit shanks and tops is absolutely hilarious.

Believe the shank on 17 was Brendan Todd early on Sunday.

If you watched every shot of a PGA Tour event, you would see more than one shank per event. It happens much more often than most think.

Tops are a little different, Molinari did cold top one a couple of weeks back. The shot Bryson hit wasn't a top per se, rather a very thin shot than only few about 100 yards.

El Pato shanked one in the final round of his Masters win IIRC

I find this hard to believe but if you're saying it I believe it. Wow. I had no idea.

i think i'm going to run with 'Cryson DeShambles' for the time being, until otherwise inspired to change

The age of social media, and more and more cameras on course has shown a lot more duffed or shanked shots than in recent memory. I think it's great to show those. I mean obviously the pros rarely do it, but it can happen to all of them. I distinctly remember Tiger, I think it was at Chambers Bay on 18? Anyways it's great to see the pros humbled a bit and I don't say that in a malicious way.

Hate is an opposite word.

the commentators try to be impartial, nice, etc about every golfer and they are all clearly fed up with J.B.

lol didn't follow the tourney this week at all, but did he really start the day in the final group and finish dead ass last among those making the cut?

Nah. He shot 79(+9) and finished T46 8 shots ahead of DFL. He has a strange habit of shooting sky high on Sunday in contention.

Alternatively,

You didn’t watch the tournament and you want someone to tell you what happened? Next time just watch and you won’t embarrass yourself like this. Otherwise go hang out in the video games forum.

Hmmmmm, i kinda had to fake that. Didn’t come from the gut. I may have just lost that edge.

LOL BO...you're getting soft in your old age
and for the record i left the video game forum for a few minutes to check the leaderboard on pgatour.com and that's where they had him placed. obviously it's been corrected since then.

El Nino you match-play devil you. Go on lad.

Sergio and I apparently end matches is a similar manner

announcer: 'all he needs here is one really good shot to take the match'

In case you're missing it, Harman is on an 8 consecutive birdie binge. Also, Scheffler just slayed Mr. Euro Ryder Cupper.
03-27-2021 , 06:05 PM
Scheffler the Euro slayer. Yanks 75% of the semi-finals field.

Pretty boring final 4 lined up for today.
03-28-2021 , 11:18 AM
Yeah, I was lamenting the round of 16 was not great but then all the bigger names won to advance to round of 8. And then arguably all the lesser names won to make the semis.

hahaha Horschel just had a TERRIBLE shot and I burst out laughing

That was a strange one that had Perez and his caddie jumping out of the ball's way. The strong wind is playing havoc on the competitors.
03-28-2021 , 11:59 AM
oh definitely the wind is howling. fun to watch

Danger of match play, seems like you end up with the big names knocked out quite often.

I honestly think it would be better as a simple 64 man bracket, one and done. The round robin was implemented to let the star players stick around longer, but it also makes the early rounds less interesting. Like this season Mcintyre won his group with a 1-0-2 record. Be better to let each match go to a playoff and be single elimination.
