I was heavy on Finau, too. He's been so solid. It's really did seem like he'd break through sooner or later.

In the upcoming weeks, he'll be lower owned and more of a sharp play with some good leverage (hoping he can figure it out).

After my export debacle (posting in Golf Betting thread), I considered withdrawing all my entries. I chose poorly.

I did some Round 3 showdown contests and stacked the early golfers. IIRC, Sawgrass is tame in the morning and much more difficult in the afternoon.

Here's that lineup, so you can sweat me.

DJ, Speef, Cam Smith, Niemann, Horschel, Knox

In the $1 single entry, my combined ownership is about 47%.
In the $1 (20-max), it's about 41%.

Good leverage.

Any time I need a laugh I scroll through some of the Golf Betting Thread posts. Most of those guys have zero clue about golf.

They know betting.

I like to think I know at least a little about golf. Hopefully I don't make you laugh too much.

Not laughing at you, laughing at many of the other posters and the things they say and think.

Betting should be the easy part, it's just math. No different than any other sports betting or poker. But if you don't know anything about the sport you're betting on, you're just chucking away tons of possible value.

It's old school and kiddos will laugh, but there is still plenty of value in actual wisdom especially when combined with the math. Regardless, there's a ton of variance in golf.

I don't know if it's dry mouth or what - but I wish Flehrerty would take a drink of water and stop smacking at the beginning of every sentence he speaks.

Looks like JT has got this. Birdie machine when he gets rolling.
03-14-2021 , 04:56 PM
LOL and then he misses a 3-footer. Put the hex on him.

We sure have been treated to some great golf and great finishes the last 2 weeks.

Feel for Westwood there, that 3 putt on 17 is gonna haunt him hard. Happy for Thomas though and ecstatic it wasn't Bryson.

I dunno. Westwood made so many testers. He had to think his number was gonna be up soon. And he drained one on 18 for solo 2nd. He may be walking on clouds. And he was absolutely dreadful today.

That was a half milly putt at the end btw.

solo 2nd: 1.635M
three-way tie for 2nd: 1.135M

JT was amazing. Gotta think he's feeling a bit lucky about that drive on 18 though. Had so much hook spin, could easily have bounded left into the water. But he was far and away the best on the weekend.

Westy has been really impressive 2 weeks in a row, even though he's come up short. Pretty awesome golf especially given his age. Have to think this year's Masters might be his last and best shot to win a major.

If you were surprised JT won you obviously didn't the see "exhibition" Lee and Bryson were putting on. It was, um, something.

I saw a bit of it, Bryson cold topping a tee ball and Lee yanking a couple miles off line right, but yeah, not all.
