Apparently he has plans to test a 48" driver after the U.S. Open.

He’s already tested them, can’t find the right shaft yet. LA Golf having problems dialing that request in. Once he finds a suitable shaft, if the dispersion isn’t too crazy he’s going to put it in play.

But as a couple here can attest to, all he’s doing is copying my blueprint from 9 years ago.

huge congrats to phil for grinding it out today and finishing the second round behind only 10 of the 13 amateurs in the field.

Has Phil got a stint in the commentary box yet for the weekend?

Him and Tiger

Scoring average yesterday 75.8 and I bet its higher today. No one below par may be a reality on the leaderbaord

It is not going to be easy out there today, ha.

Fatrick falling apart, you hate to see it.

shame the bronx crowd wasn't there to roast him.

From what I watched this afternoon it felt like if Bryson putted remotely well he could easily be leading ahead of Wolff by 2-3 strokes. Some of his putts seemed atrocious.

Either way his strategy has paid off this week.

Wolff also played crazy to shoot -5, he did not hit many fairways.

Is he a late back 9 final round guy though?

Tiger has quite a streak going of finishing 12, 15 and 20+ back. That's different. Ball game?? I say one more mini flash before he's done, with a couple wins.

there was less than a one stroke difference between Wolff and BDC in regards to strokes gained putting today.

through three rounds Wolff's strokes gained stats are as follows:
off the tee: 18th (2.22)
approach: 4th (6.5)
around the green: 2nd (4.07)
putting: 20th (3.66)

Hit two fairways. If he can keep it off the short grass tomorrow, he should have this thing locked up!

How come if having to return to tee box from the fairway for another tee shot, you are allowed to ride in a cart when carts aren't allowed on PGA Tour? Is that right?

they do it all the time. to keep things moving along so things don't get backed up too much on the tee box. standard.

He was a little aggro in pressing down the grass behind the ball so he could make clean contact with the ball.

I see nothing wrong with what Reed did there. Standard.

What some do is take out a wood from the rough and address the ball and in the process knock some of the grass down. Then switch to an iron, the club they always intended to hit, only now with a cleaner lie.

I have no idea if it's accurate. But i feel like the cooler temps affect tiger and his stiff back a lot. Cooler temps with thick tough rough he just doesn't stand a chance it seems. Hopefully he wins 5 more Masters.

Loved watching that back 9 from Reed. His face gets even more punchable when he’s tilting. Rorys like that too. That face he pulled when he shanked it into the water THE Official 2018/2019 & 2019/2020 PGA Tour Seasons Thread

Should be a fun day tomorrow and I think anyone from +2 can win

I like Wolff's chances of closing the deal. Definitely lots of guys still in it. Saw a tweet this morning that the course was watered, if the greens are soft low numbers are possible.

Cancel that, wind came up and it’s hard out there. Some tough pins too.
