Incredibly bad break for rickie
02-03-2019 , 06:23 PM
Huge credit to Rickie for not complaining at all.

No one wants to win.

Grace really doesn't want to win(edit)

Still not used to the putting with the stick in and knee high drops. Barely watched any golf this year.
02-03-2019 , 06:31 PM
Tournament is bananas.
02-03-2019 , 06:37 PM
That was an elite drive with all the memories on that hole
02-03-2019 , 06:50 PM
Jesus, the only place he can't hit it.
02-03-2019 , 07:14 PM
Strangest 7(triple) I have ever seen
02-03-2019 , 08:30 PM
That wasn't a catch
02-03-2019 , 09:03 PM
Nice job by Rickie, he never seems to get flustered by a bad break. The putt he made to save triple bogey was actually a big one.

Ya been frustrated with him in the past but that was a mature close

Does anyone bet golf?

Every now and then I'll place a flyer on an in-game tournament. I think golf wagering can have good value because the handful of well-known names are usually overvalued relative to their real chances of winning. Especially Tiger and Phil. But the better odds come once the tourney is 2 or 3 rounds in because if a guy near the top is not well-known, his odds will often not reflect his real chance of winning.

The level of play across the college and pro ranks certainly seems to have changed a lot since the early 90's.

Me too. I had a 6/6 this week where almost all of my guys crapped the bed on Sunday.

You know what really grinds my gears is when Golf Channel says golf coverage begins at 2p. "Coverage" is a ****ing 1 hour pre-game show. Just tell me it starts at 3p already.

the crazy swing korean guy is +2 coming down the stretch... FYI, he has won mainline japanese tour events so he is not simply novelty act.

first thing i notice about his swing is how crazy vertical his takeaway is. his downswing is much flatter.

never completely understood why your feet shouldn't move much in the follow-thru swing. not sure the static idea helps the recreational golfer. i guess his follow-thru has some similarities to gary player.

yup, pet peeve of mine too...... see it so many places......... one place it really bugs me is australian open. you wait all day for it to start and then the players haven't even taken the court, let alone warmed up. not sure why we need to sit through that.

.... i really like the NFL where the games start very promptly at stated starting time (or at least they did)

that makes a ton of sense. i appreciate the comment.

i did some work in handicapping tourney's and types of winners (basically how far they drive the ball). but i think i found that players course select quite a bit. where i think it can really help is knowing majors courses and whether they favour long hitter (and trees are the enemy of long hitters, NOT rough/fescue IMHO)

The follow through is probably way less problematic for your back than standard. Also way harder to control, though.

why is the golf suspended? is it wind damage?
