DJ is such a boss

This is why golf is #1 boys and girls.

Watching Bryson duff every little pitch shot that requires any wrist hinge at all is hilarious. Those big fat grips make it so easy.

Why am I see DJ at the top and it is a solid yet not spectacular round that he is playing? Shouldn't he be blitzing the field if he is going to win this thing?

Baker Finch openly pulling for Champ

Did you just see the 4-D slow-mo of Wolff's swing? How long is his body going to hold up?

Leaderboard looks like a golf lottery.

Fifteen players have a ticket on the final nine. Toss 'em all into a hat. Pull one out. Award the trophy.

I'm gonna feel cheated if we don't get a playoff. Ideally with 3+ players.

in for fun leaderboard

In his prime, Tiger would sometimes play mind-games with his opponents, like Brooks Koepka tried to do yesterday, but I'm pretty sure he never followed that up by going 4-over through twelve the next day.
Which is probably why you shouldn't try that tactic unless you're one of the two greatest golfers who ever lived.

Not having fans makes viewing so much better. You lose a little not having the cheers and groans, but not having "get in the hole" guy had been great.
08-09-2020 , 07:32 PM
Yeah this has to be the most open major with less that 9 holes to play that I can remember. Legit 9 guys can win.

I wanna see Bryson ship it but think it's gonna be DJ

Was just about to agree, then heard some dumbass yell something--"get in the hole" I think.

I'm ok with crowds per se, but they ought to be showing a bunch of fans the gate on the first offense.

In b4 Dustin takes himself out of it with a mental error.
08-09-2020 , 07:39 PM
Haha, I almost edited my post because he yelled as I was typing it. At most courses fans can't get that close unless they live on the course.

Obviously lack of a crowd is leveling out the play ... never been a 7-way tie for lead at major on back 9 Sunday. Simple cause and effect.
08-09-2020 , 07:40 PM
nobody fired up, nobody choking ... obviously from no crowd.
08-09-2020 , 07:41 PM
on cue, Nance. "Have you ever seen 7 tied this late in major." Thx.
08-09-2020 , 07:42 PM
Of course Faldo would have used less loft around the green
08-09-2020 , 07:45 PM
One thing that this many tied for the lead does is keep Nantz and Faldo focused on golf instead of the leader's childhood spent grubbing around in the dirt.

wowsers!
