Not sure how to embed an instagram post, but here is JT having a bit of fun at the expense of a certain Mr. Reed.

Patrick Reed is a ****ing ****.

That said, the four-ball pairing with Webb Simpson is great. They both play very similar games. They're drawers of the ball and on the shorter side, and they are awesome scramblers around the greens. As much as we all dislike Reed, I think they might be the best four-ball pairing on the team.

The matches tomorrow (four-ball aka alternate shot):

Match 1: Tiger Woods/Justin Thomas vs. Marc Leishman/Joaquin Niemann

Match 2: Xander Schauffele/Patrick Cantlay vs. Adam Hadwin/Sungjae Im

Match 3: Bryson DeCahmbeau/Patrick Cantlay vs. Adam Scott/Ben An

Match 4: Webb Simpson/Patrick Reed vs. Hideki Matsuyama/C.T. Pan

Match 5: Dustin Johnson/Gary Woodland vs. Abraham Ancer/Louis Oosthuizen

I did not see 1-4 coming.

I did. Remember Americans have traditionally struggled playing down under and that was even on greens that appeared quite soft which would be good for their game.

Woodland and DJ had a bit of a shocker there, but that par 4 drive from DJ was something else.

This is going really well. Jfc.

Signed up for Golftv, shows PGATourLive. U guys know how that normally works? Now just option of feature group. Turned out okay today as Tigers match was super. But hope they would show the whole production at some point (and on pga tour events surely)?

The commentators were woat and I hate to use that term. But they truly did suck. "This putt is biiggg!" "All about momentum!" again and again. Once surprised me with something insightful.

Fun course, and some great shots!

They do show the whole production in addition to the featured groups. At least here - there are some variations from country to country because of rights.

Do you not also have the on-demand option for previous days?

This is what it looks like to me - one for the normal production with US commentary, one with normal production in local language commentary and one for the featured groups, as well as the same options on-demand for previous days/tournaments.

Thx Minus . Looks like im ****ed. I see just the featured groups, both upcoming and demand. Im from Finland and seems like they are serious about the geo-rights, that was the only stream I could even find online. Trying to protest against buying the TV package as already have one but they piece the sports around aaaargh.
12-13-2019 , 07:38 AM
Yea, the whole bits-and-pieces approach to sports (any reasonably popular sport) where rights are being sold off one piece here and one piece there is really annoying.

The cost of having to sub to a ton of different packages is one thing, but just keeping track of what is on where is way more bother than it should be.

I believe the idea for golf.tv is to have almost everything there eventually (at least PGA-related stuff), but they have to wait for existing deals to run out for some countries.

I'm very happy with golf.tv though - they're showing the PGA-tour here in Norway (although they initially said they couldn't do so until 2022) and it's a very good service. I still have to have a second package (Viasat Golf) to get the WGC-tournaments, 3 of the majors and the Ryder Cup though (as well as European Tour and LPGA).
12-13-2019 , 08:14 AM
Yea I have Viasat, sounds like a good combo the way u have it. Actually I had registered a while ago and cant remember why but had Norway there as location, but then couldnt upgrade and now found out it was cuz ccard has to be from where you live. Difficult.

Prez cup set up nicely for the week-end. At least nice to watch golf in sunshine (effing winter).

Yes, green fairways on tv is pretty much the only thing that gets me through the winters. Well, that and the occasional trip to warmer climates with sweet golf courses

Great to see 'the world' in it with a lead - even US fans should be happy about that I think. Nothing worse than a pointless tournament with a foregone conclusion like PC has headed towards being.

I really am an idiot. Somehow the problem with ccard messed me up or maybe just 100% idiot. But now that the account is upgraded I can still use it with a vpn set to norway. Different commentators too and they seem pretty good, praise the lord.

Not sure if you're referring to the Norwegian commentators, but if so, Haugsrud and Bjørnstad are excellent. Haugsrud has been my favourite commentator since I started watching golf - he has a genuine deep understanding of the game both as a former pro player and as a spectator, and I have no idea how he can predict some shots in advance as well as he does just from watching the same pictures we do.

Bjørnstad joined him a few years ago as a rookie commentator and he grew very quickly. They've both got a lot of experience as pro players which helps of course, and they've got great chemistry and a good understanding what needs commentary and what does not.

My norske is not that good Some Aussie (who knows the greens inside and out) I think and another english speaker. Featured group stuff was mute-worthy. Sounds good with the norwegian guys, good commentators are always a treat in sports for sure.

JT went 4-1 in Ryder Cup and they Lost 10,5 to 17,5. Now he is 3-0 and team losing even worse. Someone give him a hug.

Ah - I wasn't sure if you were a Swedish-talking Finn who'd be able to enjoy our national golf-treasure Haugsrud

There are Twitter reports that Reeds caddie got into a fight with a fan. No one seems to have the details though.
