wait, what?!? did Milton Finau finally win something?
08-23-2021 , 10:10 PM
Good for him. I've felt like his lack of winning has had more to do with run-bad than anything else.

Wow. Tony Finau has won a tournament of golf (as they say about Lee Westwood). My O/U number for his career major wins is still 1.5. Ten top 10s there no wins, nearly 50 top tens in PGA events and this his first win in the States. #10 World Ranking with 50 top 10 finishes. That's not bad luck. His super cool demeanor masks anxiety about winning.

Agree...he could easily rip off 5 wins over the next 12 months just as a reversion to the mean

May head over to Caves this week to watch the BMW. It's so ****ing hot here tho.

Honestly I really just want to watch the boys on the range a bit. Love watching them practice.

Watching the range is my favorite part of going to an event.

What's with Morikawa being DFL?

he's playing hurt:

article says he's been fighting the 'slap hooks'. Morikawa hitting anything other than his stock high cut is likely very double-crossing news.

Guys making mincemeat of this course. Could have several guys at -25 or better.

Bryson was -18 over a 27 hole stretch from yesterday through the 9th hole today, before he stumbled a bit on the back 9 today. That's crazy, I don't care how soft the course is playing.
08-29-2021 , 02:35 PM
I know Bryson has been hulked up for a while now but I still find myself saying "HOLY ****" when he casually flies it WAY over a bunker that's over 300 yards from the tee.
08-29-2021 , 05:39 PM
Cantlay makes a pressure put on 16 to stay within a stroke then rinses the tee shot on 17....and he thought it was perfect.
08-29-2021 , 05:48 PM
What is it with Dechambeau is he some kind of jerk or something?
08-29-2021 , 05:51 PM
Cantlay hanging in but tough to beat Bryson when he is driving/putting like this. Making this course look like a pitch and putt.
08-29-2021 , 06:01 PM
Wow those last 2 putts by Cantlay were so clutch. Odds of a playoff after Cantlay hit into the water on 17 had to be less than 5%.
08-29-2021 , 06:06 PM
his last three putts were clutch.
predicting Bryson gets into a greenside chip position and yips it up.
08-29-2021 , 06:10 PM
Cantlay second in the field this round at SG Putt at 3.78.

Bryson obv leading the field this round in SG OTT at 2.61.

This is good tv

God USA fans suck. Idiots yelling right in the middle of Cantlay's backswing on that approach shot.

yep. the worst golf fans AINEC.

Cantlay's putter right now is as pure as the driven snow.

edit: they just said Cantlay's putting this tournament is the best putting performance in the SG era.
08-29-2021 , 06:25 PM
The more I watch Dechambeau I think he really is a jerk.
08-29-2021 , 06:32 PM
a clown yelled during Cantlay's backswing again... and now on Bryson's. SMH

Yanks nut low
08-29-2021 , 06:32 PM
did they just say 14.577 strokes gained putting this week for Cantlay?
