Always love links golf but I'm not really a fan of Par 70 layouts with all these Par 4s. I dunno the Par 5s give the tournament some juice with eagle chances etc., so only having 2 is a bit of a letdown for me.

I'll bite, since I'm interested why people might really dislike NLU. Not that I am saying it is not possible, I can definitely see why they are not for everyone in a variety of different ways.

I've watched a lot of their content over the last 12 months and Tron is just trolling, it seems to me.

Put that vid on 1/4 speed and watch it. I think he had an inclination to back off and instead did a brain bubble half back off/practice swing, half actually putting. Look at the putter on the backswing. He almost backed off then had a spasm, brain and muscle. My two cents.

I hope Jordan treads water a bit to par tomorrow and he gets passed by a bunch of people ... and his odds go up. Him or Dustin I hope.

could be. makes sense.

but his history of yips suggests otherwise.

Zalatoris with the WD. Must have hurt himself on that one swing towards the end of his round from the tall fescue. SMH

Marcel Siem sure looks like he is anchoring that putter.

A confirmed back injury.

He may or may not just be trolling. They say/espouse things that are quantifiably false in the regular and seem to fall in line with Fried Egg and his ilk that don't like any thinking that pushes the game outside the traditional box on how to play it.

Their videos are well done and professional. I don't watch them very often but the ones I have seen are good even though I tend not to have much interest in the subject matter.

I just don't care for their views on golf and find their stances ill informed. I think some others agree thus the dislike. For example, I think they are pro ball rollback which to me is Galaxy brain stuff... Seeking a solution to a problem that doesn't really exist

This was one of the first few shots I saw yesterday. Not sure if it was before that putt or not, but it looked painful.

EDIT: Regarding Will Z.

EDIT 2: Looks like that putt was 2 holes later?

I love Morikawa but I'm afraid he's going to run into a snowman out there today or tomorrow right in the middle of July.

Yes probably a big factor.

Nicklaus had 15 straight top six finishes in this thing apparently, 11 of them top 3.

so strange with golfers and their limited entourages placed in virutal bubbles while #18 grandstand is packed like sardines.

my only gripe with the courses they play this tournament on is that it's hard to see the ball when it lands/rolls down the fairway.

Also love Collin but sure hope you are right. Pretty sure only 3 guys can win and tend to discount the golden boy due to his waywardness. Really want Ooesty to get there for fairness and THE Official 2018/2019 & 2019/2020 PGA Tour Seasons Thread

Pretty fair take, they can definitely be too colloquial in their takes and use old school -isms too much. Soly especially.

Their videos are high quality though.

What is it with Oosty to hit it like god and lead for 72 hours no problem then leave everything short and right and putts short ... AGAIN. The announcers keep talking about it all summer and he can't hear it?

I know he's a better ball striker than Hogan but I just went out on a limb. He dodged it yesterday when he was nearly in a lip, then nearly OB and got out of it all with a bogey. The dude may be the best combo of ball striking accuracy and distance ever.

My god that eagle putt by Rahm after his ball moved looked like a 30 handicapper.

Finau 32.5

All of them good by 15 or 20 spots but Rory. I deliberated on him thinking this guy has just been too unreliable for too long. Pisses me off. This number on Koepka again. How in the world?

Rahm is a god. MIckelson warned us.
