off topic: some bloke was 4UP going to #15 (during the afternoon 18 holes, as the championship is a 36 holes contest) and lost the Amateur Championship in 38 holes earlier today.

Started thinking of his week in the Crow's Nest a bit too early. What a gut punch.

I was watching that for hours on a live stream on youtube. Got to the last play off hole and the stream went down.

Every US Open commercial: AI will solve payroll/supply chain/security.

Google Maps: Would you like to get off the highway, drive around in a square, then get back on at the same exit? No? Are you sure? It's 10 minutes slower.

Drink every time Dan Hicks mentions something that you need to win a US Open, be it driving, chipping, putting, intestinal fortitude etc

See you in the ER

I like Mackenzie Hughes saying in his post round interview yesterday that the course is basically the same as for the Farmers, but with slightly firmer greens.

Nice US Open.

NBC's coverage has been awful considering this is the U.S.'s national championship. Also, I'm starting to dislike Azinger more than IBF which is saying something.

Nice US Open.
Yep, the nut low USO layout that needs to be nixed from ever hosting another USO. Not to worry though, as an epic run of layouts is coming:

I'm really looking forward to LACC, seems like a cool golf course.

Cross content marketing. I'm half expecting Simone Biles to join them in the on-site studio later during the telecast.

I hope I don't take a beat on Koepka. It looked strange. His line for finish was top 21. I was fairly shocked. He's been godlike in majors of course and in the last one he struggled mightily, gave shots away right and left, couldn't putt, couldn't score on the par 5 ... AND HE FINISHED SECOND. Where is the 21 coming from?? Some kind of knee injury factor? I don't think that warrants it.

Also took Morikawa to finish 22nd or better. Both are currently tied 9th, long way to go. Also have Rahm at 9/1 to win after third round.

But that Koepka line? Couldn't justify it. Betting small and laughing when I'm wrong. Makes it fun.

I admittedly don't know jack about betting on golf, but that Keopka line does seem weird.

Zinger is dreadful. Has like 15 little catch phrases that he shoehorns into every telecast

The US Open playoff format is no longer sudden death. Rather, it's a new two-hole aggregate-score playoff, meaning that the competitors will play immediately after regulation ends on Sunday in search of the US Open trophy. If any players in the playoff are tied after two holes, they go to sudden death to determine a winner.

The playoff holes at Torrey Pines Golf Courses' South Course would be the seventh and 18th holes, then going in a loop on Nos. 7, 8 and 18 until a winner is crowned.
