Na slighted for 3 wins since last RC, an in-your-face attitude and overachieving mentality. The course not suiting him is a red herring. It seems obvious to me why he wasn't picked. Scheffler over Na ( and even Burns) seems pretty extreme. Berger is fine but he likely will fall into the performance hole that most of the US picks seem to follow.

Had a laugh when Stricker labeled the RC "the most important tournament in the world." Ask Tiger how many majors he would trade in for an extra RC win.

Ryder Cup may be the most overrated event in sports. I'll be not-watching it for the nth time.
09-09-2021 , 12:06 AM
It didn't matter who Stricker picked because they are all losers. I agree the Ryder Cup is overrated. But I'll still be watching.

Also, if I ever get to a point in life where I think that ole ole chant is cool, I will shoot myself in the ****ing head.

The Scheffler pick was the only real (mild) surprise, thought maybe Na would get it based on his recent form but probably Sam Burns deserved it most based on his play.

Yeah Ryder cup is over hyped but it comes during a dead season for golf so I'll probably watch at least some of it. The team play dynamic is a nice change of pace.

How you leave Patrick Reed of the team as much as I do not like him

Yeah didn't Patrick also claim he wasn't tested for Covid by the hospital, and he was vaccinated? I'm claiming BS on both of those, especially the one about testing. There is zero chance a hospital is not doing a Covid test on a double pneumonia patient. He just likes being a bull**** artist for some reason.

I think it's possible he wasn't tested upon arrival. It may take ten minutes (I have no idea) to diagnose someone with double pneumonia. If you do that, what would a Covid test add? He's positive for Covid which has caused double pneumonia? Which they have already diagnosed.

Don't know, don't care. Maybe Covid will turn him into Superman like Rahm.

I don't have a large sample to work with, but everyone I know who has been admitted to a hospital recently has told me the first thing they did was to test them for COVID.

I have a guy doing a remodel in my kitchen. He "started" in like April and then got sick, "walking pneumonia", and said they finally diagnosed him with Covid.

That's my sample size of one. Wasn't tested immediately.

He's finally back at it.

It's not just about his diagnosis but about having someone with Covid (or any highly contagious condition) in a hospital - they need to know if they need to take extra precautions and/or isolate them.

Pretty sure I read somewhere that a reporter called Reed's hospital and they told him, "yeah no, we test everyone for Covid who had symptoms consistent with Covid."

So again I just think Reed (and his wife who seems to thrive on this stuff also) likes to troll or stir the pot or whatever.

Regardless glad he seems mostly recovered. Also glad Sticker didn't let the whole "Capt. America" shtick influence his decision.

I don't believe anything Patrick says. But several weeks ago my uncle was sick and went into the hospital. They didn't do a COVID test, told him he had a cold, and sent him home. He got worse and went back the next day and he tested positive for COVID. Granted this is rural PA, but there are some hospitals out there stupid enough not to just test people.

Yea, the whole 'capt america' nonsense was just dumb anyway - it was just american media needing an American counterpart to Ian Poulter and failing spectacularly when trying to make one.

The fact Reed was labeled "Captain America" shows me how little substance the RC has.

OMG Aphibarnrat imploding. Sitting in lead put two OOB in a row on 17.

edit: maybe not

That is a fun tournament I really like that course. Love the 2 par 5s to close. Nice job by Billy Ho.

Yeah - great swing potential at the end and almost always a great field.
