Ok ok you got me hyperbole. But I think Weir can make the cut. And I think Will is not really a contender to win.

There is no way Weir comes out ahead of Zalatoris.

you really going to gouge me for a $10 premium after after vig free red? I thought we were internet friends

I'll book 270 to 200 hoping you did the math wrong, if you didn't do the math wrong and genuinely want a +140 vfl then i'll comply

i don't see any need to escrow with you red but if you want to i'm fine with it and wouldn't be offended, fwiw i'm already escrowed 3k in the thread i'm linking to below so you could always collect there in the event i got hit by a bus this weekend

but as fate would have it, looks like i'll be hoping he wins it anyway (was a random draft based on tiers though)

no worries and was genuinely worried about making this thread into a contentious place when that wasn't my intention

glgl, as you see above, like slim i too i benefit immensely if bernhard manages to win this

We are underway. It’s like Christmas morning

Favorite weekend of the year. Hoping for a crazy finish with 10 guys all within a stroke or 2 coming down the back 9 on Sunday.

First impression is the greens look a little patchy to me, for Augusta at least. Looking like they are going to play fast and firm, thinking -11 may be enough to win this year.

Hovland with the non-ideal start

Much as I love seeing some of the old timers, I really do think the likes of Woosnam and Lyle are taking the piss by still playing the Masters. Sure, you have a lifetime exemption, but it doesn’t mean you have to use it.
Be like Faldo and step aside to free up a slot for someone who might actually have a chance of winning it.

There is no “slot” being filled by them. Past champion is just an exempt classification into I think 65

Masters app leaderboard looks like it lets you watch every shot from every player, pretty cool.

Whilst that is the case at present, I'm sure if the old duffers declared their retirement from The Masters, they would increase the number of qualifying slots.

Mize, Lyle and Woosnam should retire gracefully.
From 2000, Craig Stadler played 15 times and missed the cut 11 times, including his final 7 attempts.

Play the par 3, have your champion's dinner (that's all Stadler was there for), sign some autographs.

i was trying to sneak in an extra $10 270 to 200 is fine since i'm late responding.

After one hole, BDC's fairways hit percentage: 0.00%

BDC a complete mess on this course.

C’mon man. First you thought they were taking a spot from others, now you think they are going to change the exemption criteria. The Masters does things their way, and they don’t care if you like it or not. They want those guys teeing it up, like John Houseman would say, they earnnnnnnned it.

Where's this good form from Rosey Palms coming from?

They are taking a spot. I am fully aware of the various qualifying routes. My point is if they didn't always have to cater for some old guy wanting to play 36 holes, they could add spots to exiting routes like making it top 5 in the other majors.
Making it a lifetime exemption and not 10 years is dumb. They're lucky they've got so many multiple champions.
Do you really want to the likes of Reed and Willett still playing in 20 years?

Edit - Alternatively, keep the lifetime exemption provided you don't miss 5 cuts in a row.
