10th hole might be my favorite hole on tour. Favorite short par 4 for sure.

Damn, that's a tragedy. Glad Bill Haas is ok, but that's rough for the driver's family.

Sad story, looking at the wreckage Bill is very lucky to be OK.

Based on quotes from the police it sounds like driver was speeding and clipped another car (being driven by Luke Wilson, of all people).

I had no idea a car like that wouldn't have traction control.

I thought we were still on the Ferrari story there for a second. Sad story indeed.

He has stripped 3 drivers in the past few holes. Looking really good right now on PGA TOUR live. Putting stroke is vintage Tiger.

+1 not terrible consider he had a lost ball double. Right at scoring average for the morning group. If he can maintain this putting and get the rest cleaned up, hes going to be in really good shape.

Do you feel like he's just rusty, or has some issues with his game?

72 was the same score he shot in the first round when he was 16 in 1992. Zero improvement over 26 years. Sad!

the early issues are spraying the driver. can't compete for titles w/ this issue. let's see if we see steady improvement leading up to Augusta.

edit: SPEEEEEEEEEEEF w/ the improbable chip-in bird.

Terrible amateur golf psychologist take: a little of both? For as long as he's been gone, I'm not surprised that it would manifest as trying to do a little too much off the tee, and suffering as a result.

In competition and getting the adrenaline flowing full rush for the first time in years has to have some sort of an effect.

I'm not qualified to know what sort of swing flaws he's experiencing to have the off the tee results he's having.

Hes just missing it in some bad spots. He hit 8 fairways today. Thats about average for his career. His irons arent as sharp as they have been in the past. Give it time, I think alot of it is rust and getting back into tournament play.

If he stays healthy a little bit of time fixes all of this.

Rusty plus not quite used to tournament golf again. I imagine he hasn't played many 5+ hour rounds in the last few months. It can really throw you off.

Here's the thing about Tiger. He just isn't as good as the current top golfers. Stop making excuses for him.

He definitely looks way better this time around then any of the previous comebacks. The way I see it, he's not going to be the favorite to win any tournament, but if he 'runs good' with the driver, he's in contention to win. If he plays 20 tournaments, he should be in contention to win 1 or 2. (Assuming the other areas of his game don't let him down.)
