I'd take Tiger/PHIL/Finau with the first 3 probably but still a few tournaments to play before then

I wish the captain had the option to boot one of the players in the top 8 so we could get Webb Simpson out of there.

Whats crazy is if Tiger won, he woulda made the team on point and bumped Webb out.

I was wondering today if the average tour pro was given a choice of taking DJ's career to date or taking Koepka's career but not necessarily getting either's potential going forward which they would pick.

*ahem*

https://www.pgatour.com/stats/stat.014.html (career earnings list)

Dustin Johnson $55,065,689 (5th all time)
Brooks Koepka $19,977,547 (74th all time)

Even for the ones that want to say "it's not about the money", it's hard for it not to be about $35 milly.

Snap take DJs career. Only six years older with 16 more tour wins.

They need to tell the players that it needs to be obvious that they aren't anchoring the putter. David Hearn's putter looks pretty well buried in his chest..

Speef in the clubhouse one off the lead (after missing a 7" putt y'day).

DeChambeau doing work... might be hard for Furyk to leave him off if he binks his second win of the year.

I would have considered him an unlikely pick until recently but after this win it's tough to justify not having him on the team. He'd be 5th in points with this week included.

Does anyone know where I can find live PGA Tour tournament stats for the whole field, like strokes gained putting etc? Live stats would be great, but even the stats after each round would be good.

the PGA Tour mobile app is your best bet. i don't know why they don't have this info simply laid out on their site. my friend works for the Tour on ShotLink and I've given him **** about it.

I wouldn't take Kuchar. Frankly he isn't good enough to pass over some young guys for imo and PHIL is a lock and that would leave the team with enough experience especially if Tiger makes it.

I'd rather have Kisner than Kuchar for his putting which I think could be a boon in the 4ball and 4somes matches.

I don't love Finau's game for the format or how I have seen the course described, but he is undoubtedly more talented than many of the other guys who would be considered. I also think he has the ability to perform under pressure and getting him experience doesn't seem bad.

If Webb slips from 8 I hope one of those guys slides in and its 5 of: Tiger, Phil, Bryson, Xander, Kisner, Finau.
Too bad this didn't happen. Bryson in at 8 wouldv'e been perfect.

I can't see how you go anything but Tiger/Phil/Bryson/Finau now barring someone else winning 2 upcoming events or an injury.

Finau has won once on tour at the Puerto Rico Open.

Phil, Tiger, Kisner, DeChambeau.

lol. sort by Tour wins ... profit?

and Kisner has won two non-descript Tour events in his career (Kisner has 183 Tour starts, Finau has 116).

calendar year

Finau: 20 starts, 2 runner-ups, seven T-10s (including 3 major T-10s), 3 MCs

Kiz: 21 starts, 2 runner-ups, three T-10s (one major T-10), 7 MCs

since the U.S. Open

Finau: 7 starts, four T-10s, zero MCs

Kiz: 7 starts, one T-10, 2 MCs

SG: Total (this Tour season)

Finau: 12th

Kiz: 115th

cliffs: Furyk would be a fool to choose Kiz over Finau

He's obviously one of the best players in the world right now, but he needs ~80 more wins to be considered the GOAT.
