OK I have a bone to pick about this:

All of these golfers are multi-millionaires. Between 10 of them dropping 100k each should take care of it, right?

Haven't watched or read much, what's wrong with the greens?

they replaced the grass type a few years back but didn’t dig deep enough and now the old grass is coming up through the new grass. Hole 14 is the worst, green running about 9-9.5 on stump right now but rolling relatively well.

They said his strokes gained driving for that last round was over +4. I can't recall a single better number in strokes gained era.

Yeah I went back and looked at shotlink. His longest putt made was 15 feet and second longest was 10 feet. He didn't make any other putt over 9 feet and that is for all 4 rounds.

Was a truly amazing ball striking display, especially the last round, which is one of the single greatest driving rounds strokes gained wise.

looks like the first person poster about the open field hawaiian stop on the pga tour... probalby should have just said sony open.

i saw there was a special note on pgatour.com about today's tv coverage.

i assumed it was some unnecessary comment about how "ballistic missile safety" is more important than golf coverage but that golf coverage might help people overcome their "ballistic missile" fears

NO, it turns out that the labour union for TV camera people has been trying to disrupt the coverage. that's how i read it..

i guess i'm conservative but it blows me away that they try to sabatogue the tv viewer's experience and then we are supposed to welcome them back or support them in their labour action.... do they not care about their ultimate benefactors?

sorry for political rant

lol @ you. oh noes my TV viewing experience is disrupted... how dare they try to get better working conditions/contracts/$$$/security for their families. don't they realize i won't be able to sit on my couch today (popcorn in tow) to watch golf. how dare they! what about my sitting on my ass TV viewing rights?

it's called leverage. about the only leverage they have in this spot.

After stalled negotiations, Golf Channel cameramen walk out amid Sony Open coverage

my bad to some degree if they are simply not working... i thought it might be worse than that from the wording i.e. interfering with whomever was trying to do it in their absense.

and no, i could F care less about their employment situaton. i'm sure they are paid very well for their level of training and have semi-monopoly protection on their employment

that might be harsh but do they give a F about my employment situation... the answer is pretty clear.

Sony Open now on the 6th playoff hole between Hahn and Kizzire.

I get why they play 18 in a playoff because fans are already there and playoffs don't usually last this long, but it would be a lot more interesting if they played different holes at this point. I mean its the 6th playoff hole and they haven't even played a par 4 in the playoff.

Don't look now, but the front end of the European Ryder Cup team is looking pretty stout right now, posting 3 wins this weekend.

Rahm moves to #2 in the world, to boot.
