With those stats he can easily win this thing with a small bump on driving and a hot putter either day.

Some euro books quoting 40:1, which has to be +EV. Even 25:1 seems like a decent bet.

So how many golf balls would you need in your bag to finish the round from the tips today. I am thinking zero chance I finish if I only have 7 or 8

Because he was pointing out that JT didn't make a single birdie in the 2nd round but still stayed in contention I would think - a double and 17 pars.

yeah it was odd to quote me. my post was about JT's lack of focus on #16 green y'day (and obv not his round).

Wish we could have seen the shot tracer on Tiger's tee shot on 6. Birdie one time!

Tiger with a beautiful power draw at the difficult 6th. 318 down the middle. That tee ball would work nicely on 15th in april!

meh, not when you make 17 pars + only six golfers were -2 or better on the day + JT started the round one stroke off the lead.

when conditions are tough and birdies come at a premium, these things will happen. the two first round leaders were a combined +7.
