Wait there are still people who think Tiger is ever going to be "back"? Pretty crazy. I think his ceiling from here is fringe top 50 player with a few top 5s and possibly a win or two the rest of his career. That is if he can stay healthy which I think is pretty unlikely. Reality is he will be a guy who would have trouble hanging on to a tour card without all of the exemptions he enjoys for who he used to be.

The people thinking he has any chance of ever being even 2013 Tiger Woods are completely delusional.

Wait - there are still people using 'wait' to pretend to be surprised by stuff they clearly aren't actually surprised by? Pretty crazy.

The entire point is to post it on social media and show everyone how close you were standing to Rory McIlroy. Meanwhile they have the best seat in the house on a perfect day, and they are watching one of the top players in the world through their phone's screen. I just don't get it. Like I said, I'm probably just too old and cranky.
Nope, you're correct it's ridiculous. Hey look at me I got this video of Tiger and selfie my life is great.

Tiger's never done good at riviera, 0 wins in 12 starts. Surprised he would choose this week to play over last week at Pebble beach

He went full bore violent swing at least a couple times today where I was like "whoa man that really necessary?"
You're like 2 tournaments back in and about to miss the cut. So ya I still cringe. I thought early on in his comeback he might have altered his swing so he wasn't torqing his back so much, but he's only gotten more and more aggressive with his swing now that he feels comfortable. I hope he knows he can sustain that.

So far his back looks very up to the task.

He's like co-host foundation or something for the event, but ya wouldn't put much stock into his performance other than he's walking out healthy and playing Florida. Success.

Yeah my guess was a F355 as well. FWIW F355's with the F1 paddle shifters have TC if made after '97. A bit weird but yeah and '99 was the last year for the model. The vastly superior 360 debuted in 2000. Also the steering on the F355 is extremely heavy and is really difficult to control on uneven pavement.

I said a few weeks ago Riviera is not for Tiger. It's really unforgiving to poorly placed tee shots.

strokes gained stats, skewed a little bit by an unlucky lost ball yesterday. (field stroke average ~72.15 with r2 almost complete)

off the tee -1.06
approach -0.49
around the green -0.35
putting +0.04

Obviously I would have liked to see him make the cut, but at this point I pretty much only care that he stays healthy.

It'll be a while before I'm able to open a golf news site without worrying that I'll see a "Tiger withdraws due to injury" headline.

Excited to watch the weekend anyway. I really like this course.

They explained later on that Rory was using the new school lofts and tiger still the old school and that really tigers 2i would be similarly lofted to Rorys 4. Rory still going to be a bit longer than tiger but distance isn't going to be his issue going forward and Rory is still going to suck.

He’s teeing it up next week so we don’t have to wait long to see him back in action.

Bubba may be the worst endorsement Volvik ever had. Switches back to Titelist, and all of a sudden seeing his name on leaderboards again.

Have to give the guy a chance in the Masters if he keeps playing well, guy's won 2 of them already after all.

The Volvik thing is a good example of what happens when marketing outruns engineering.
