I prefer closest to the pin as it gives all players a chance not just the bombers, Hockey and soccer both have tie breakers that are nothing like the actual game but provide a quick and exciting resolution. So does college football.

At least in some of the lesser tournaments. Does the Geenbriar need 3 extra holes and almost an hour extra to crown Ted Potter over Troy Kelly? No one is watching that. I'd watch 3 swings each at the closing Par 3 though!
I'm onboard. That's what they get for tying after 72 holes!

Elite collapse by Bubba. I forgot how tight some of the chutes are, or at least how tight they look on camera.

I actually don't think they are running at 11.5 though, which is fine as the ball might never stop.

This course reminds me of my favorite with crazy pitched greens. You show up and the practice green looks like it is on the side of a hill and the soon find out so are all the greens. 5%+ average slope is fun. On a fun side not the USGA made them rebuild a green to continue hosting pub links qualifier when that was a thing as they said there was not a single pinable location at the speed they asked for.

Bosses do this every day but when a golfer does it to his employee people are all up in arms. Just laughable.

BTW I just like exciting golf. As long as he isn't diddling kids or drowning puppies I really couldn't give a **** what he does otherwise.

You really find it shocking that people who act like complete dicks can be disliked?

I'm not sure what kind of bosses you've had that have led you to think that that is acceptable behaviour, but it really is not.

You may tolerate it (especially if you make Bubbas caddy kind of money) but that's not relevant to whether or not the person doing it is a dick. He/she still is. No matter how many others may be doing it too.

And at least most of them are not daft enough to do it on international tv in front of millions of viewers...

Luckily Bubba doesn't have to be called a hater, because when he hates on gays, it's not actually him who's hating, it's God.

"Take it up with God, guys, I'm just the messenger...".

How anyone can respect someone like that is way beyond my understanding.

"But he's good at golf!"... whooopdedoo...

Pulling for Louis Oosthuizen, probably my favorite swing on tour and he seems like such a nice mellow guy to boot.

Count me in as not caring for everything Bubba does and says, but liking his presence on tour. The tour needs villains, colorful people, lefties!, and people who look like they're there because they've got great talent and did it their own way. He brings even more than that to the table, in terms of being able to hit amazing shots, and bombing it.

Sharma is definitely a Cinderella story. It would be cool to see him win and get into the Masters.

as long as he doesn't have an awful round today and slip down the leaderboard, he doesn't necessarily need a win to get in b/c he may get in this way:

18. Top 50 on the Official World Golf Ranking list on March 26, 2018
