Pretty solid round. Couple mistakes but putter bailed him out a bit; at the same time he didn't convert a handful of birdie looks that were very makeable.

Impressed but I'll totally buy in when he shoots the 65 or 66 and looks sharp the whole way through.

He could have easily shot that. He was the best player on the course by a lot

Yes to the first part. No way to know the last part. He did seem like he was in complete control today.

Kind of depends on how you view it. In terms of who gave himself the best chance to have a great round, I think he did the best. The notable part was all the health and swing question marks he passed with flying colors and looked amazing. Him only scoring -1 was due to rust and variance.

hard to say b/c we didn't see every shot of the other players. Tiger certainly gave himself some nice looks at birdie tho.

i agree with this.

Tiger with the opening birdie, then a 240 yard hook out of the left trees onto the green on 2.

54 incoming.

hated seeing it find land b/c i need Fleetwood or Simpson to ship. JT is strong enough w/out getting breaks like that.

Hudson Swafford with the old 45 (+10) on the front nine. Yikes.

Hole #10, Tiger drives it 350 then misses the green from 150!? Got to capitalize on those drives.

what do we expect from Noren in this year's majors? he broke the OWGR top 40 in week 32 of 2016 and has been making incremental steps ever since (currently #16).

he's moved to the U.S. and committed to the PGA Tour this year.

all this said, his major record ain't so good. do you see him being a factor and possibly top 20ing a couple this year? maybe be a back 9 Sunday factor and land a top 5 in one of them?

JT is just not hitting anything close right now, but still has time to straighten it out.
