Maybe now that Bubba has his 10th win, he’ll keep his word and quit.

did anyone ever buy a volvik ball? I thought it was some kind of joke that they were the same price as a proV and I've never seen one in play or found one ever.

Slipping them into your opponents bag doesn't count.

Volviks are atrocious for any serious competitive round

Tigers game is worse than I thought it would be. These tourney reps are good though and its promising he wants to play. Hes still the GOAT so I have no doubt in my mind he will get it figured out.

Just in terms of total package, not being refined, or anything specific?

Putting looks good and around the greens looks good enough. Driving looks atrocious. Even missing fairways with irons. Distance control with his irons is non existent. Sometimes long, sometimes short. He used to be great at always being pin high. Just leaving himself in bad spots off the tee and with his iron game the way it is now (remember he was arguably the best iron player ever and he is/was the best iron player from 175 out for sure) just isn't bailing him out like it used to. Not enough looks at birdies and you are only going to make so many 10 footers for par. Its more than rust, he needs to continue to put the work in

It seems like there's always an aspect of his game that's a mess.

Well if Scott wins again golf channel can go back to talking about how perfect his swing is. Always thought it was overdone, golf isn't a beauty contest. The winners the last 2 weeks have ugly swings... who cares?

Scott seems like a classy guy though so I'd like to see him get back on track. Think he's more into being a family man these days, maybe lost some of that competitive edge.

He looked a little pudgy to me in the mid-section last week, not sure he's got the same level of fitness as past years.

Being fit in the sense of being able to complete a mile run in a decent time I would guess is a detriment to the long term prospects of a golfer.

What Rory, Tiger, Day, Koepka and other's have done to their body is a mistake in my opinion. It's more likely done out of vanity than any other reason.

I've gone from fat -> skinny -> ripped over the course of my life, and my golf has been the best when I've been a ripped 30 something. Not only do I have a more consistent/powerful swing than I have had at any point in my life as a beefcake ripped dude, but I feel waaaaay less likely to injure myself swinging a golf club as hard as I can.

edit: I played D1 college golf as a fat ****er

If you were take a guess how much money Matt Kuchar has made in tournament winnings, what would you think?

Spoiler:
$42,402,743

How about Luke Donald? Charles Howell III?

Spoiler:
Donald - $35,930,932

Spoiler:

Howell - $34,379,173

That's insane.

I think CH3 has only a couple of wins as well. Kooch showing the value of all those backdoor top 10s

Probably one of the things that makes golf a little less exciting these days outside of the majors. Even cut-makers like Howell who rack up some top 10s are making millions.

checking out the Honda leaderboard i came across a name i had never seen before -- Nate Lashley. google'd him and came across this heartbreaking story:

rooting for him to stick on the first page of the leaderboard this week!
