To cap it off, I expect to hear an anecdote about Peter Williamson's 83 today, and how BO played with Peter's uncles cousins garage door repairman back in 1974 on the whogivesaratsass tour and BO clipped him by a shot by getting it up and down from a tumbleweed on 18, and when he shook his hand he could tell from the glimmer in that repairman's eye that he knew a guy who one glorious sunny day was going to have a family member have a kid who wouldn't break 80 at Bay Hill.

I mean, all of that is the minimum of what I would expect from a scholar of the game, a non teat sucker if you will, like BO.

Sure he has a cool swing, but how can people like Bubba Watson so much?

Haven't you heard? He's a free spirit, drives the General Lee, and hits crazy curving shots

So awkward. Payne Stewart's family got no coverage today.

KVL, your obsession with me is weird.

Dante, Bubba is awesome. I find him highly entertaining. He'll carve a 340 yard drive into the center of a dogleg fairway, then hit a 9iron into a par 5 to 14 feet. Then miss his flat putt by 8 inches to the left and start shaking his head and nearly beat the putt to the hole. Then tap in for birdie.

It's pretty amazing how good he is off the tee and how bad he is at draining putts and reading lines.

What does that have to do with Tiger playing the par 5s -5? Please enlighten me about something that happened in the 60s thats completely irrelevant since that and Rose have about as much to do with each other as Tiger playing the par 5s -5.

O and yes Tiger will finish higher than Rose, you can count on that. GOAT gonna GOAT

BYN, don't take your anger out on Rose. Rose is a very highly-ranked player and he can easily win on the PGA tour.

I say that a round like that by a player not named Rose would be just as sweet.

Well, he knows a few members of the grounds crew and he spoke at length to them earlier today. They informed him that Justin showed up early this morning, before sunrise, and reviewed tape first of his swings, and then of old footage of Ben Hogan and Sam Snead grilling burgers. The footage was never-before-seen, but it definitely had a certain...I don't know...something special about it. Two legends, not talking golf, just flipping burgers. And Justin beat peen to that reel.

After this, he utilized Bay Hill's old microfische machine to read old news clippings of golfers I won't name hear because, trust me, you haven't heard of them. He then came out of the dark room a new man. A man with a plan. Not like Dan - this plan was special. Justin now deserved to shoot low round of the day. But he didn't stop there - no. He then smiled one of the largest, most genuine smiles ever seen - his teeth even whiter than his face. BOth of which are quality traits to have.

After standing around smiling and reminiscing about This Great Game of Golf that he is honoured (intentional spelling) to play, he pulled a Sharpie given to him by Gene Sarazen's grand-daughter, and began signing autographs and chatting with kids. My word! This man is a gent! This man may be the first that is worthy of winning Mr. Palmer's namesake tournament. How is this Gentelman of Golf not knighted yet? Why sha'n't we address him "Sir"? Sir Justin Rose, god dammit! The man shot low round and books will be written about it. Golf will be remembered in two ways: everything that happened prior to today, and everything that happens hence.

Anyone who cannot appreciate this man and what he has done here today is simply not a fan of golf. Old Dead Tom Morris is somewhere scoffing at all you ***gots for not starting to write a book about Sir Rose's round.

Sneds finally back this week but he apparently lost his mojo.

Phil struggling to make the cut after a triple this morning.

And Steven Fox is apparently on spring break this week and currently outside the cut line.
