This is the best golf coverage on NBC I've seen in a very long time. They should give Miller a few more weeks off.

In that interview his answer to a question was "eating some pizza and watching some golf", what was the question?

Something to the effect of "What are you going to do now since there's a chance you'll be in a playoff"

I sort of am rooting for a Streelman bogey just to get a Boo Weekley playoff

If you played a drinking game called "drink every time they mention Spieth is 19" you would have died 19 years ago.

GG Boo. Heck of a putt from Streelman to pretty much wrap this up

Nice lag. That green looks pretty treacherous.

Pretty awesome that Boo was even through 3 rounds then just drops the low round of the tourney on Sunday and finishes solo 2nd. Hang in there.

Pretty happy for Streelman. Not that I knew anything about him before today other than recognizing his name but it's pretty cool to see a dude who has been at it for a long time grind one out - even if against watered-down competition. Him and his wife seemed pretty emotional and happy.

Seriously. LOL @ calling that a "religious speech". He was asked what he did last night to remain grounded (which is a stupid question to begin with) and he said like 1 or 2 sentences about reading the bible with his wife.

He never said "On that par 3 I was between clubs and I said a little prayer and God spoketh to me and said 'hiteth the 4 iron. Trusteth me'."

With this win, hopefully they will play the "seriously" commercials more.

Remarkable how this course munches on everyone's soul every year despite having four par-5s to help their scoring a little. It's also a pretty interesting course by Florida standards.

I saw a Trump tweet today basically dumping **** on this tournament and saying his was better/more interesting. Trump is such an ass. Esp since this course is way more interesting.

quoted for seriously

Rory has been number one for 32 straight weeks, but Tiger can retake the crown this week at Arnie's place with a win, and maybe even with a solo second, though I don't have my abacus handy to verify that.

[as a reminder ... 18 spots left ... Masters less than a month away]

spots are open again in my fantasy golf league (2+2ers have joined in the past). my league is very unique (only the 4 majors are involved).

PM if interested or for more info.

mods delete if not appropriate.

thx

Since when is his last name pronounced "Trin-galee"

I swear I always heard it pronounced as Trin-Gale before yesterday.

That would be very Trump-like to call a WGC event "his". Innisbrook is unique in that it feels like a North Carolina course dropped in Florida with all the mature pine trees (and no palm trees).

However, the Gil Hanse remodel could make Doral a substantially better course. Like what he is doing to 15 and 16, taking two very pedestrian holes and making them superb. There were some other changes I liked too but can't remember them at the moment. Hopefully Trump isn't allowed too much input because no doubt he'd go full ****** with like 14 island greens and a 950 yard par-5.

fwiw I've only ever heard it pronounced the way they did it.

EDIT: to be clear I mean "Trin-gah-lay". Maybe they were pronouncing it differently, can't remember. I was too busy trying to get Shawn Stefani's name pronounced right in my head.

Followed Tringale for years and always heard it pronounced with three syllables. One of those that I found odd so it's always been memorable.
