In Peter Jacobsen's book he talks about fluff going off into the woods during pro am to smoke some pot. So yes he's in HOF.

My buddy texted me today from the Walker Cup. Said Adam Scott was hanging watching the tournament, and he chatted him up. Asked him what course is nicer Augusta or Royal Melbourne. Scott said Melbourne all day. Said he was a really nice guy, down to earth and loved signing autographs and taking pictures with all the fans.

PSA: 2007 President's Cup currently airing, i.e. another opportunity to see Tiger get clowned by one hit wonder midget Mike Weir.

Sneds cruising
What a crock Lefty being allowed to miss the Pro-am (yes, I know they grant exemptions in exchange for appearances). If its like the pro-ams I have played there is bidding based on who your player is going to be and seems like it would be a bad idea to let him back out last minute.

Rickie Fowler is at +8 after 8 holes. Maybe they'll decide there is a cut line this tourney.

I'm here for the lolRory. +6 on the day, including a nice triple bogey on his 10th from 120 yards, including 5 shots from greenside.

O/U future majors: .5

Snap over.

I was going to say he's probably playing super aggro since he entered this ranked 54th or whatever but after reading your recap it sounds like that wasn't his problem.

I keep hoping Jordan Spieth plays well and lights a fire under Rory again. Would be great to have a young gun on each side of the pond.

Could you imagine what this thread would be like if Tiger pulled out of the pro-am due to "personal reasons" like Phil did this week?

Well, that has hyperbole. If I had to take the bet I'd set it at 1.5 and feel comfotable-ish with the under.

Lol at him being next GOAT, challenging Jack, etc etc.

No kidding. I don't even remember seeing a thread on wrx about it. If TW did the same thing there would be a 10 pager by now.

It's hard for anyone to win 2 majors but gun to my head I take the over still. Don't forget he had a 4 shot lead after 54 holes of the Masters. And still lead by 1 after 63 holes until that damn hook into the trees on 10. Think about that he could have already had 3 of the 4 majors by August 2012. He hates links golf so his O/U at the Open should be .5 and I'd feel pretty comfy taking the under on that one. Though Philip also hated links golf for over a decade and now claims to like it and won 2 links tournies this year including the Open by 3 strokes so you never know if Rory changes his tune (doubtful since he grew up with links golf).

The talking heads anointed him the Next Jack and Next Tiger but he still won his 2 majors by 8 strokes each, something Jack only did once in his career in a far inferior era. Rory's US Open win was absurd. Seemed like every approach was within 20 feet of the flag.

I posted about this at semi-length in the SE TW thread, but Rory had a really super hot 15 months, and other than that has been pretty blah. Obviously the sample size on the current side of that hot streak is small (but growing). I would just have concerns if I was a Rory bettor about a 24 year old who seems to not care that much about golf who also can't putt.
