I dont see Spieth wearing UA next season unless they have him locked into a contract for quite a while. If the contract is up, Spieth is gone for sure

I gave Poulter and Veejaygis 4s and Furyk a 5. Reasons:

Poulter is your typical overly-cocky gnat who stays relevant because he tweets and says outrageous things. Also lol frosted tips. I actually like his clothes though. And he was fun to watch at the Ryder cup.

Villegas wears tight clothes and is pretty hideous. His veins look like they're going to pop out.

Furyk is the worst. Choker. Plodder. Didn't hit a single aggressive shot at the PGA and literally waited for Dufner to throw strokes away. What a huge pussy. Really goofy looking guy with goofy ass swing. Has like 4 commercials running so you always see his face. Seems like a tool out there the few times he glances at fans. And he's on the front page of every tourney without ever winning so he does this just to piss me off. Don't really see a single thing to like about him.

After the round was working on the range with my college coach when Pernice came by to chat with the coach and see what was up with my move. He ended up working with us for a solid hour forgoing his own practice to do so. Shot well under par the next day.

So while he may not be the most engaging person to watch on TV, he earned a fan for life that day. Before he earned his tour card he was a legendary ball striker to many in the midwest, just had trouble around the greens.

The only people I really dislike are the slow players. The bible thumpers I kind of just shake my head at but I'm ok with them. Yeah, it's God that allowed you to win, not your thousands and thousands of hours of hard work you put in. Tons of athletes give it up to God in their post-game interviews so it's hard to hate all of them. It would be nice to see someone take credit for their own accomplishments.

I forgot in my Furyk write-up to list his absurd slowplay, especially on the greens. God he's slow as **** and it bothers me. So many people thought he should have gotten a penalty during the PGA.

The bible stuff doesn't bother me. People hated Streelman because of 5 seconds of Jesusspeak after an awesome win.

Watch his playing lessons with Holly Sonders though. If his golf game falls off I'd like to see him as a TV analyst. He's well-spoken, has a good voice, seems like a super nice guy, good hair and teeth, down to earth and he plays guitar, too. He acted totally at ease around Holly's bolt-ons. But Notah Begay instead gets a job with his ridiculous earrings because he has Tiger's cell phone number.

For some weird reason I really enjoy Zach Johnson's wedge swing. He's got a super strong grip and I like how he holds it off. I also like watching all the lefties hit shots (Mickelson, Bubba, Theodore Potter, Jr., even Brian Harman). Sorry Mike Weir.

Almost certainly my least favorite outcome to any sporting event ever. The Suns losing to the Bulls in 1993 (and all their other myriad annoying playoff losses) or any other outcome in any other sport don't haunt me quite like Stewart ****ing Cink beating Tom Watson in a playoff and denying us the greatest story in the history of golf. If only it had been someone I didn't detest, which would mean almost anyone else. Christ, even Tiger beating him wouldn't have been as annoying - at least Tom could say he lost to the possibly the greatest player of our generation.

Also, would like for BBB to explain his Tom Pernice Jr. hate. That seems so random.

But it all comes down to the fact that Tiger would trade seasons with Adam or Phil in a heartbeat.

The Tom Pernice stuff basically goes back to his one sided feud with Tiger, where his caddie wore the "Tiger who" on his hat. Then Tom asked for Tiger's driver to be tested one year at Doral. Then there was this quote after Tiger skipped the 2006 Tour Championship

Quote:

ATLANTA (Ticker) - Tiger Woods' absence from the $6.5 million Tour Championship does not sit well with at least one of his peers.

"I think it's a disgrace," journeyman Tom Pernice Jr. told Golf World magazine. "It's a slap in the face to (presenting sponsor) Coca-Cola and the tour. He wouldn't make the money he makes if it wasn't for the PGA Tour.

"At some point, there is a credibility as to what's inside you as a person. There is a responsibility and an obligation to the people who helped make you who you are."

Woods decided to skip the tour's season-ender to "recharge" his batteries after an arduous recent schedule that included three consecutive weeks in Europe. He heads to Asia next week for tournaments in China and Japan - contracts that were signed long ago - before he decided he needed a rest.
All that for skipping an event he had no obligation to play. Really I don't think we wouldn't have the FEC if Woods had played East Lake every year early in his career, and I always thought its kinda stupid to have the opinion Woods owes the PGA Tour anything as he would have elevated the popularity of the whole sport regardless of what form professional golf was in when he came onto the scene

There also was a caddie survey around that time and 11% of caddies named him the guy they would least like to loop for, which was a really high percentage for someone who's basically a no name.

In their eyes, it is God that gave them an opportunity to win a golf tournament. If it wasnt for him, they wouldn't be here. Thats why its always first, then they go on to thank others and brag.

The "Bible Thumpers" that I have met (Zach Johnson, Stewart Cink, and Ben Crane) are all really really nice guys and are very likable. Stewart Cink used to host a breakfast at his church the week of the Bellsouth Classic and out HS golf team went every year (not sure how they managed to get us out of class to go to a church breakfast, but it was still cool). I personally sat at a table with each of them over the years and have nothing negative to say and they all had very good attitudes toward life and generally good life and golf advice.

On the other hand, I was a standard bearer for Stricker in the early 2000s at the same tournament and he was a grade A prick to pretty much everyone around. This included his caddy who he turned to and said something to the effect of "why the **** did you let me try that shot" when he tried to go at the green from the trees and ended up with an unplayable lie after hitting a tree and bent his club in anger. He basically never acknowledged the gallery the entire round and didn't talk to his playing partner at all either.

"Tiger Who?" was worn by Vijay Singh's caddy Paul Tesori.

As for Stricker we went and watched the Vegas open 6-7 years ago and my one buddy is a huge Stricker fan. Stricks as me and Tiger like to call him was on the putting green and my friend asked him to sign a hat. He came over signed and chatted with my buddy for a bit. Talked about his time on the CDN Tour

If Stricker was at the breakfast, do you think he would have been a prick?

If cink had just made triple, you think he would be the same happy go lucky guy you met at breakfast?
