Although, if Scott wins another tourney, we may have split Player of the Year awards for the first time in 20 years. With Tiger's lead in money and average, it's likely that Scott needs to win twice more to win the points based PoY. But if Scott wins again, 2 FedEx Cup wins and a major may make the players vote for Scott over Tiger in the other PoY.

If Scott wins again and that wins the FedEx Cup then I think he would have a good argument. The Masters, winning the most money, 3 toal wins, two other top 5's in majors.

The $10 million bonus doesn't count for the money title. So it's entirely possible for Scott to win one more FedEx tourney and the $10M and still not win the money title. (They haven't updated the money leaders list yet. But going into this tourney, Tiger was 4.5 million ahead of Scott and 2.68 million ahead of second place (Kuchar))

Tiger is so far ahead in money and avg that he's nearly locked up the points based PoY award.

You picked 1 year out of his entire career. Care to break down the other years? If you don't know Scott is far inferior with a legit short stick in his hands there is nothing I can say to change your thought process. Believe what you want to believe, guy will stop burning edges and draining putts 24/7 when he has to change putters. He'll regress, he won't come close to the player he is now. Are you disputing this? He's always had a great swing and drove the ball extremely well, it's the stick he's chosen to use on the greens that has changed things for the better.
