Confirmed. Don't know if it is his current caddy or someone else but once his caddy gave him an ultimatum that if he didn't start behaving he would leave. Im assuming he started to behave, that said I am sure these types of situations brings out the worst in him.

Eh, I'm probably in the minority but no money is worth being belittled and disrespected on national tv by my boss.

Everybody's human. Bubba does this **** to his caddy all the time. He's a spoiled brat.

you do know that the better the player you are, the smaller the % you give your caddie. that x for very top players can be less than 5%. so if bubba makes 5 mill his caddie may only get 200000-250000 plus whatever gifts and perks. he could show a little class. but then again he's from the swamps of bhagdad. FL. just a 'good old boy' never meanin no harm!

he should take his confederate flag car and drive into that swamp.

And how about commentators stop hugging Bubba's nuts every time he doesn't intentionally hit the ball straight.

"Oh my God. Nobody can bend the ball like him, what an imagination".

Really? No other tour pro can work the ball? **** off

Or Bubba started shipping tournaments and millions...

It's a lot easier to quit a guy playing on the web.com/Nationwide Tour than one winning millions on the PGA Tour....

Caddies would crawl through 5 miles of broken glass to suckle from Bubba's teat. It's a sweet gig let's not get carried away here. And I don't think anybody cares that he undressed his caddy a couple times. Anyone who watches this stuff knows he hit an awful shot on 16. Took a horrible line and came up at least a club short. For all we know his caddy told him to take his frustrations out on him and not himself or his golf ball.

Grin and bear it. Of course behind closed doors I'm either giving Bubba the silent treatment or going ape**** on him.

I love Bubba but I find him needlessly c0cky. I think he has a huge inferiority complex*. I saw him on Playing Lessons playing golf with baseball's Johnny Damon and Damon asked him how he hits it so far and Bubba basically just kept saying "I'm just longer than you." with an air of smugness. WTF? Nice Christian humbleness there, Bubs.

Then when he had the long drive contest with DJ and Jamie Sadlowski in Hawai'i I seem to remember him making needless cracks at Jamie. Making sure everyone knew that Jamie is not a good golfer. Because he was pretty butthurt that Sadlowski had him by 30 yards on every drive.

But when it comes to hitting shots, Bubba imo is one of the most exciting players to watch.

*Probably being born a redneck with the name Bubba on the golf course has a lot to do with his inferiority complex.

Revisiting this, what a bad mistake. I get it in regulation, you probably don't know that you are going to leave yourself a really hard shot. First playoff hole, maybe you just got unlucky the first time I guess. Second playoff hole, huge mistake not being aware enough to lay back a bit.

With his pumping up the crowd and stuff, maybe he's just a really cocky SOB and thought bombing it everywhere was the right play, but it cost him yesterday.

It was a couple of mild sentences. Your average person in this country hears worse from their boss on a weekly basis, while making nowhere near what Bubba's caddy makes. He'll live.

As far as it being on national TV, a week from now no one will remember or care. It's not as if the caddy of a non-household name decent PGA Tour player gets a lot of national attention. Again, he'll live.

Was he hitting his 3w well? Because he was murdering his driver dead straight.

I thought his approach on the 73rd hole was awful since Duke was already on in standard 2-putt range. He went flag hunting and came up a couple yards short of maybe ending it there.

Then, Duke hit the same type shot on the 74th hole but hit his juuust far enough and ended up winning.

Now that I know Duke nailed this shot type on the 74th hole (from further out), I think maybe his approach on 73 wasn't so bad. He just hit it a tad too short.

At any rate, aren't you nit-picking a bit much here? Duke hit both playoff greens in regulation and went par-birdie. Stroud hit the bunker then the green and then went scramble-par.

Was a great round - either guy could have won. Duke also dealt with seeing that chip-in daggar on the 72nd hole to force the playoff. How killer. But he came out and finished up strong.

Bubba is not very liked from other tour guys...Phil M is also not very well liked but they all tow the PGA tour line when asked about him and go on and on and on about how much of a good dad and guy he is and that is the difference if you polled tour guys on Bubba a lot would roll there eyes and not be very political as he hasn't earned that respect yet.

Not nit-picking IMO. Incredibly poor course management to leave yourself a flip wedge, down wind, to a tucked pin 3 straight times.

.
I don't think so. I made my original post immediately following the tee shot on the 2nd playoff hole. It was an error regardless of what kind of shot he hit next.

There was zero margin for error in that flip wedge. He'd seen three bad shots (his two, plus Bubbas) from that spot and should have made an adjustment. The shot he hit on the 73rd was the shot he had to attempt, but even if it carries two more yards onto the green it doesn't stop anywhere near the hole imo. I'm basing that on Dukes full out wedge that has max spin just carrying the bunker and barely stopping pin high still

Got it. Yeah I didn't realize the spin was that different but that makes sense.

As Spenda said though "where the **** are you supposed to land it?" lol. Maybe it's not a great designed hole but it certainly brought plenty of drama.

The funny thing about your beef is that the announcers were going gaga over how far he was driving it, and the fact that he almost landed in his previous divot.

Golfdoc (or maybe NXT) would have the Trackman info on spin rates between the two types of shots, but it's significant.

And announcers are dumb ldo.

Yeah that's what I meant. It's funny that they went full-out casualfan gaga over the long straight drive. Though I guess it's in their best interest to spin everything positively for the casual viewer.

i think ian baker said when bubba drove it on 18...or eyedeen as he calls it...bubba hit that ball well over 400 yards....and then moments later a graphic popped up....drive 3six2, to pin 82...haHA
