Thought the same thing. I figure she is caddying for him due to cost savings. Wonder if it adds stress or relaxes you more. I wonder with his positive results and $575,000 on the money list if he goes to a regular caddy. Though he still has a ways to go to secure his card

I mean seriously Phil , I guess this is the first time ever I saw some one so upset that it didn't go in from 150 yds or so, may be this one is situational but still

May be it was situational is the understatement of the year.

Phil looks less surprised when he misses a 4 foot putt than he did when he missed it from 150 yards.

That was good

I think he knew he needed a hole out to have a chance and was so close that is why the expression.

His reaction was ridiculous. If he really expected to dunk it why didn't he have BONES run up and pull the flag like he is wont to do?

It wasnt redicilous at all. I doubt he expected to hole out, but given it was so damn close in THAT spot I thought it was more than reasonable.

Granted, Im going off memory from watching it last night. I think yall just hatin on Lefty to hate on Lefty

No I like Phil but a normal non-FIGJAM type person there would give a wry smile after seeing the ball settle. Not PHOLD though. He was legit FURIOUS. I mean come on. And it's made more funny by the fact that it wouldn't have even mattered.

Imagine if he dunked that and went nuts then Harris English still wins. Of course butterfly effect... he may not win if this happens. Especially if he hears the crowd go berserk before he putts on 17.

See, from what I remember he was somewhat lighthearted about it. Meaning I didnt read him for legit furious.

Also I instantly thought of Phil Hellmuths "To you its a game, buddy. To me this is my life!" rant. Guess its a PHIL thing.

Except Mickelson is actually good at golf. Hellmuth just thinks he's still good at poker. That's why it's so much easier to make fun of Hellmuth's obliviousness. Phold is oblivious at times too which is also hilarious.

You must not follow the poker world very closely...

Hellmuth may be a pretty bad deep stack cash game player but he's still a tremendous MTT / HUSNG player. Take a look at his results over the last few years. The fact that the guy used to be a one-trick pony with NLHE and has now gone deep / won big events in mixed games speaks a lot of his talents.

Yeah Phil never gets respect. He is a huge cash game fish but in tourneys, he is pretty damn good.

But it makes you look like a great player if you can call Hellmuth a huge fish cuz clearly Twizzle could own him.

If it weren't for the flag, I'd hole out every time.

In seriousness though, that sounds terribly annoying.

wattt. lol no way man. he wouldn't stand a chance at profiting in husngs in todays poker climate. He would for sure be a loser at the $50 level, and probably lower. His game just has too many fundamental errors.

The main thing he has going for him is just picking up on live reads of strength/weakness. He is for sure great at that. But if he's playing good players, then he often owns himself cuz many times his lines to go after these players are v exploitable. Also going for him he has the big name fear factor when playing with fish, or the opposite where they will do anything to try and bust him.

And yes I played with him for 15+ hours in wsop events last year alone, aswell as my roomate busted him from the wsop main a couple year ago. sick brag etc.

I do think he is smart enough to be good at all forms of poker, but he doesn't exactly need the money or need to put in the work for that since he can still just play the Fish filled events and do quite well. He has no necessity to learn to be profitable at hu sngs or deep cash games.

Majority of people either wayyyyyy over rate Phil or wayyyyy under rate him. Both are easy to do because of his success and also because of the indisputable mistakes he continuously makes.

I was more referring to his results in HU Tourneys (eg the NBC HU Tourney which he has won, finished 2nd twice, and cashed another time iirc).

Agree to disagree that he's good

I must be the only one impressed by the fact that he's holed out several times just in the rounds with salesbeast.
