And you think of those 15-30% that their wife at home is putting out as much as their male libido dictates? I think libido plays a major role. Another major role is males getting progressively more desensitized the more they have sex with the same partner.

So maybe Elin was doing Tiger 24/7 and Tiger finally had to start looking elsewhere to satisfy his GOAT needs.

The male evolutionary optial fitness strategy is to sleep with as many females as possible. Now it's not that simple, monogamy evolves for a variety of reasons and has certainly evolved to a fair extent in humans, but from a male biological standpoint there doesn't have to be a reason more specific than "Tiger wanted to sleep with a bunch of women." There's no reason that "Elin satisfied Tiger sexually" and "Tiger wanted to sleep with a bunch of women" can't both be true. But, I tend to see things from a biological point of view rather than a sociological/psychological one.

As a side note, I always wonder what percentage of athlete's wives know they cheat and just accept it as a price to pay for the lifestyle they live (and how many also just try to play dumb and act like they don't know it happens).

It'd also be interesting to see infidelity rates from all the Professional sports. Golfers are probably lower in frequency, largely because many of the spouses travel with their husbands.

Reminds me of two funny stories:

1. Cart girl I worked with back in the early 2000s hooked up with Adam Scott during the Memorial Tourney in Columbus (she was at Ohio State). He texts her every year that the event comes in town.
