You are actually ignorant enough to think "general direction" is enough to determine flight path? You still don't explain why the ball appears to be going over people and trees on the other side of the lake. Obviously you only use the "proof" that suits you, but when facts come up to prove you wrong, you ignore them.

lol bitter tiger haters

Roger,

Let's say that the blimp was flying 100 yards right of center of 14 fairway. Definitely in the general direction. Let's also assume the blimp was flying at 750 feet, which from what I've read is right in the middle of typical blimp flight height.

In your opinion, what would that do to the appearance of the flight of the ball? Would it look exactly where it would if the shot was directly overhead? Or left or right of the actual direction? Would the blimp being higher or lower change that? Would the blimp being nearer or further from the fairway change that?

Waiting for your use of "simple geometry" to show position of the blimp and that Tiger's drop was not bad.

Tiger says he's trying to hit a draw off the tee in his post round interview.

Black line- Where he wants the ball to start more than likely
Red line- ideal shot shape that turns into the center of the fairway
Blue line- horrible wtf chunk pop up hook where he comes at it way from the inside with slightly open club face(relative to target line/club face closed vs path creating the hook), thus hitting a ball that starts right and goes high and hard to the left

Golf ball physics are hard

Roger, a golf writer who was on the course just got done with an interview and said the blimp was over a different hole entirely. Your argument is baseless and idiotic. Quit ruining the damn thread

Do you know how high the blimp was flying?

Do you know the height of Tiger's shot at different points throughout the ball flight?

Did your brain use the answer to the 2 previous questions(of which it shocking can't possibly know the answer to) to calculate, in real time as you were watching, the exact ground position of Tiger's ball throughout the entire flight?

Do you know how angles work? And how very slight changes can severely affect perception?

Since your answer is apparently "no" to all of the above how can you possibly have an opinion?

Roger, roger. What's the ball's vector, victor. Over, over.

The blimp shot makes ths drop look terrible, but nothing you can do when both caddies and the player say otherwise. Regardless, its a judgement call, never gonna be perfect.

Schu,

Tiger's game sets up well for a lot of courses, but I wouldn't say Merion is one that is suited for his game.

Exactly what I thought.

I honestly thought he was going to tee it up again, but immediately dismissed this as none of my business to assess, given the variables.

See how reasonable I am?

Reality this is correct but every other tourney we see on TV were this happens we see the replay from every angle to determine it. Its just what the media does. This time nothing To me another bad drop. I am sure Casey gets a few invites to Tiger's tournies now

Hey Tiger how about you spit out your gum before accepting the trophy?

Good lord at this discussion. That blimp angle is worthless.

Let's shift topics

Tiger currently converts 54 hole leads at a higher rate than the average PGA Tour player converts 4 foot putts

Discuss
They were breaking down a bunch of his stats on the Golf Channel and Wow they were incredible

Care to elaborate please? The only thing I know from Merion involves a rubber snake on the first tee.

Well considering that the weakest part(relatively) of Tiger's game is hitting drivers and the fact that Merion will require less drivers than just about every other venue it's another statement that makes 0 sense from a logical stand point.

"Hey, you are dominating the Tour this year, what's the weakest part of your game?"

"Hitting drivers"

"Ok, let's go play a course where you don't have to do that and we can laugh at people who say it isn't suited for you"

Maybe the worse guess of all time. Tiger bangs a new chick every night while he's with Elin, but he settles down with Vonn who you think is somehow worse than Elin in bed? Why would Tiger want new ass every night if Elin was so good?

LOL Sergio. At least Rory has two majors and has been ranked #1
