Why does Chumlee think only the 51-150th best golfers on the planet have improved? He really thinks this happens without improvement from 1-50?

It's literally not possible. If the 50th best player in the world is no better than the old 50th best player in the world, but the 51st best player in the world is better than the old 51st best player in the world then that modern 51st player would be ranked like 47th or something. Not still at 51.

The more I think about it, the less worried I am about the dropped shots at the end.

It's not like he was under the gun and couldn't control the ball. He's out dicking around on a Monday up by a bazillion and waiting 10 minutes to hit each shot.

Waiting long alone isn't an excuse, but when you're up that much it's okay to start thinking about which hookers you want to bang later.

Damn I'm tempted to find Chamblee on twitter and go at him. Next time I'm drunk maybe.

Chamblee on Twitter just said that TW would have to win 23 majors for him to think of him as GOAT. LOf'ingL

“@originalkoz: What would Tiger have to do to finally get you to shut the **** up?” 23 majors, I would probably say he was best.

I think if Tiger's mind was somewhere else he wouldn't have been spraying it all over. It's not like he's know to do that on the range on in his practice rounds. He definitely still has some type of mental issue with the last round

I'm just curious ... did you actually watch any of the tournament? I didn't watch a great deal, just a bit on Friday and yesterday, but about half the shots I saw Tiger hit were just plain ****ing awful. It was not GOAT level Tigahhh, not even close. So yeah, talking heads are going to say stuff like that.

Tiger seems to have issues with first holes, last holes, and last rounds. That's a lot of issues.

Heck the Web.com tour may yield better players than back in them old days. Tiger lovers are almost the same as Lance lovers. Though the opposite is true also about the haters. Tiger yes may be the GOAT when it comes to Golf but when it comes to being a human being he is garbage.
We should have a seperate Tiger Thread

Not sure what you were watching but the first 67 holes were pretty GOAT. He had a freakin 8 shot lead at that point for goodness sake.

I agree with Nih Han, the post tournament analysis was pretty negative given the guy had just won by 4 despite 2 bogeys and a double in the last few holes.

I'd love to see what Barry Bonds could do in Babe Ruth's era. 1500 home runs? 2200 if you let him bring back some HGH.

Let's get 1999 Pedro Martinez pitching back in 1925, I'm pretty sure his ERA would be under 0.10.

I mean just look at the masters Charl Schwartzel won a couple years ago. Birdies the last 4 holes, shoots a 66 on a much harder golf course than when Nicklaus shot 65 to win in 86. Like Schwartzel is a really good player, but it's just an indication of what other people weren't doing in Nicklaus's era (he was ranked 29th in the world at the time). Guy you've barely heard of at the time just GOAT finishes to win the masters.

Now you're dealing with fields of 120 players that can shoot 63 on any given round, and chain those together, and tiger still has 75(?) wins against those fields, predominantly in tougher tournaments since he doesn't play a ton.

If he matches/passes Jack in majors he's not even in the same ballpark, he's miles ahead of him. He's already GOAT.

Both dominated there sports, Both have arrogant personalities, One caught for performance enhancing drugs the other not and the only minor possibility is his association with the CDN steroid doc that was convicted.

Many dispise Tiger for his arrogant personality, behavior on the golf course, and total disregard for his fans.

Reality is Tiger will never be proven as taking performance enhancing drugs. Do I think he did no question about it

I too think he has taken steroids, but it must be said that it wasn't against the rules at that time.

Haha at steroid talk. My goodness.

Tiger is 6', 185. LOL. If he was on steroids and the workout regiment he was on during the majority of his career he would be gigantic. GIGANTIC.

Tiger averaged 302 off the tee in 1996. Best year ever on tour, 2005, he averaged 316. Oh yea, he was on steroids that's why he hit it SOOO far. It wasn't his working out and getting stronger, it wasn't advances in technology, it was steroids.

Maybe we should open an investigation into Phil. Poked it out there 280 yards in 1996 then by 2009 at the age of 39 was breaking 300 yards per drive.

Or how about Ernie Els. The all powerful 278 off the tee in 96. WAS AHEAD OF TIGER IN 2005 at 303 yards off the tee.

STEROIDS

STEROIDS

STEROIDS

Doesn't get more blatant than that. Both those guys experienced larger % gains in the driving category than Tiger Woods despite assuredly working out less and not having the help of HGH or steroids. LOLOLOL.

NXT, if you can't entertain the possibility that your hero took steroids to help his body heal after multiple surgeries, then you can't see the forest for the trees.

I'm not saying he did, we'll never know for sure. But if I had to make a wager I'd certainly vote in the affirmative. I know if I was in his position with a knee that has been operated on since a teenager, it would have at least entered my mind to take a cycle after surgery to help my body heal.

It's certainly possible, but it's a total "so what" to me. Oh no, he may have done something to help him recover from an injury. Meh, just hard to care or see how it matters.

LOL

I wonder if Ben Hogan took some steroids after his car accident to help himself heal.
